Letter to Valten Grimaldus

Grand Inquisitor,

This evening, while patrolling Stormwind, I came upon Aspirant Nahum Ludd as he was being placed under arrest. There were four individuals around him, two of them worgens named "Feral" and "Az." One was a Disciple named Valten Grimaldus, and the fourth was a dwarf whose name I did not overhear.

Although there was much confusion and, near the end of it all, the worgen named Az is supposedly going to be charged with attempted murder, the following is what seems to have happened, according to Aspirant Nahum:

1. He was patrolling Stormwind when he came upon a Death Knight who was blatantly promoting the fact he practices necromancy: the Death Knight actually had a blood-soaked tombstone and used it as a weapon. He also adorned himself with death trophies and smelled of rot. He creaked as he moved, implying that his joints were old and his flesh decayed enough that they were revealed.

2. While overseeing this Death Knight, Aspirant Nahum overheard the following things:

Death Knight (addressing either the two worgen or the dwarf): "I can bring her back to life."

Witness: "Like necromancy?"

Death Knight: "Yes, exactly that."

3. As we all know, Necromancy is against the law in Stormwind. Upon hearing this and seeing the way the Death Knight adorned himself with blatant symbols of necromancy, Aspirant Nahum confronted him, as is his Sacred Duty. However--even though the Disciple, two worgens and the dwarf had witnessed the Death Knight's appearance and/or saying these things--Aspirant Nahum was placed under arrest for using the Light against an undead person who blatantly flaunted his necromantic abilities.

There was some fast talking involved, as Aspirant Nahum did try to escape and I followed him (but I was trying to convince him to go back and face justice, once I'd be able to catch him). I offered to take full responsibility for the Aspirant's actions, but the Disciple agreed that he would want to oversee the Aspirant's punishment and he is not allowed back into Stormwind until this punishment takes place. In addition, the worgen named Az assaulted Brother Nahum when he was apprehended. The worgen's claws cut open the Aspirant's throat and if I had not been released from Feral's hold, he may very well have died from bleeding to death. As it is, the Disciple has assured me he will be charged with attempted murder.

I have also stated I would send a copy of this report to Valten Grimaldus. This is all I learned and trying to get to the truth of the matter was hindered, due to the worgen Az's bad habit of needing to provoke others to anger and his inability to practice silence. If I have missed something, I will be certain to send that information as soon as possible.
