Searching for WRP-PvP

Ouh, as I posted in the wrong tread at first.

Hey, hello, and hi.

I'm searching through wow for what the title says, WRP-PVP. And well, fair to say, Defias have the best RPers around. So in my absence to Argent, and summer off, I'm wondering if something alike exist at this moment? The more human oriented, the better :3.

And yeah.. does it? It was said that with MoP great wars would come.. but I've seen none RP wise..

Well, it's been like 4 weeks or something and you expect the world to erupt in RP-PVP events? Really?

I'm thinking it'll happen in 5.1 because earlier makes no sense. So yeh.

I don't really see why not? At lease something that might be comming up? It's not a bad thing to plan things out...

I don't fully agree with this. We mostly play out content patches sort of like.. a peek in history. When 4.3 just came out we didn't say: well the battle against DW started, we said: DW is dead. I think we should do the same with 5.0, the way everything is at the end of all the questing is how we should put ourselves in the time-frame.. Anyway have to run!!!

Nothing will happen if there is no one to organize it. And most of the typical WRP-PvP organizers no longer play or no longer have the desire to create such campaigns.

If people want it to happen, then someone needs to step up and start getting things planned.

In the end, if you want something, then you are the person that knows best what you want done.

I concur with Kristeas, you want a campaign... make one. reliance on others to do it is one of the core reasons why W-pvp battles have become tied to lore events rather than sporadic occurances created by the players.

Players got lazy, get off your buttocks and do it yourself, because just as Drustai pointed out... The typical W-pvp organisers either left, or we got tired of spoon feeding folks.

Sorry if that sounded aggressive, but it grinds my gears when people nag that theres no W-rp-pvp yet they create none or shy away from it.

Do we need to revive the thread about the Theramore battle? For Drustai and others who wern't there, we had a large scale W-PvP battle that had consiquences and plenty of aftermath RP.

The first few weeks of MoP have passed, people are settling back down to RP now and soon enough - in 5.1 - people will plan WPvP. I personally still think we're in the down time, which goes with the current lore!

No need to panic, WPvP is easy to plan and organise. It is an online gaming event where we have a forum that can go out and spread the word!

There are quite many reasons as to why there are not many RP-WPvP events at this very moment, let's take a look at some:

First, Pandaria was released about 4 weeks ago and you must understand that some people are still leveling, I dinged only two days ago actually. This is something that should be accounted for.

Second, as you are all aware we are in PvP server you would expect people to gear up in a PvP way in order to stand ressiliant to your opponets. Some people are also trying out new talents and getting used to their new build etcs. So basically in a nutshell, people are still gearing/griding regardless of the aspect of the game they play. This is also the reason for a decreased RP activity I'd say.

Third, not all of RP guilds are ICly in Pandaria I assume, The Three Hammers being one of them. Thus you cannot expect to have weekely RP-PvP battles because there are still some guilds that are preparing for their own intro into Pandaria.

Well that's the way I see things and as to why there is no RP-PvP events yet..
However, after Theramore RP-PvP event being a success I am willing to organise some RP-WPvP events if there is a such great lust for them but I do hope that Erahn would be up for that as well!

It is indeed an interesting time - luckily we have taken the opportunity to WPVP throughout and practice new and innnovative tactics - now that MOP is settling the WAR needs to continue.( we also need more Dwarf beards for our myrkins - Panda fur lacks the texture and Winter is Coming!!)

So we hope that fellow Horde warriors will work increasingly together to remind the Alliance that Halfhill is not the future its nothing short of collaboration. The war is not only in the new Pandaren lands - it is throughout Azeroth and the Outerlands. If the bearded ones do not come to Pandaria then the war will find them even in their deep halls.

Horde guilds that fight Alliance - we extend the warriors hand of friendship and shared blood. The Storm is coming and Dominion will fight at your sides.

Whether it is RPWPVP or just a call for help against Alliance Gankage count us in.

still tempted to try and organise a w-pvp night for every week...

where guilds go out and IC'ly attack towns/defend towns via world defence and such. no set script, no plan. just w-pvp on a set night starting from a certian hour.

We are up for this - w me Krogon or any other Dominion Officer - We will be happy to aid in this

I'l set up some thread to test the waters of interest first perhaps. it'l be quite revolutionary, and for a whole night? will require a fair bit of backing from everyone to come to pass, and even be 'tolerated'... i know some folks would not want their RP hubs under attack for a whole night and general chaos all over.

That could be fun, I'd merge both the RP and the W-PvP and set it up in a similar way to the recent Theramore. Give both sides RP beforehand, a break for injured RP inbetween, then RP after and the effects on the town.

I'd love to see a user created power holding system in Pandaria when 5.1 hits, so if Horde attack a certain town and Alliance lose it, they may control it for a short time or we create a map to say that the area now has low supplies / cut off trade routes and rp around that.
