Smart phone apps Empty Smart phone apps

Post by John Helsythe Amaltheria Thu Jul 26, 2012 12:21 pm

I create this thread so that I and others can find out about apps we didn't hear of before, but very much like to have.

What apps do you use? Why do you use them and would you recommend them?

WhatsApp. I suppose this one is way too obvious.

Some media app that was already on my phone when I bought it. It gives me easy access to about 7 media sources that are being updated constantly. They're Dutch only though. But for the dutchies: I love the algemeen dagblad app, telegraaf + volkskrant.

Marvel Comics: It's free but it will only let you read a few pages before it basicly tells you you'll have to buy it to read the comics properly. If you're willing to pay a couple of cents, it IS an awesome app. Spiderman, X-man, you name it.

Draw free: I had fun doing it occasionally with a nephew. Loads of people find it fantastic but meh. I have't touched it in ages now. It's a little game where you get a word. You'll have to draw what you got and your team mate (not opponement) will have to guess what it is.

Pocketdeals app: I'm not sure if this one is dutch only. It's an app that gives you stamps for various stuff. Just to give an example: 2 big macs for the price of one! (free)

Onetouchdrawing: a game. a good game for people who like a good puzzle. Check it out, there are like 120 lvls (free)

Jewelslegend: very fun if you like bejeweled games. (free)

Bubble Shoot: Your regular bubble shooter (free)

CS portable: Counterstrike. Yes it works fluintly imo and it's easy to master. If you're into this stuff, do check it out. It's free too.

I believe that's all of them.

I think I'll try to find a CNN or perhaps BBC app soon...

And a proper RPG game: can anyone recommend me one? There are so many

Anyone has experience with the CNN app made by CNN? Some guy says it drains MBs, and there is an option to go for a CNN app made by Flyingbus studio

Call This app gives you the ability to enter a series of seemingly random numbers, or choose a number string from your saved contacts, Which it will then "Call" Granting you the ability to speak with people from all across the world that also have a phone!

The only reason why I bought one.

But why buy a phone if you have no one to call, Am?

Because, sometimes, when im feeling lonely, I just push in numbers, and see who picks up...

It makes me feel that i'm not entirely alone, and that people care.

Even if they only care to rip out my throat for calling them at 4 am in the morning talking about the revelations of Pastor Jim Deacon, and his search for the Torchlight tablet of divinity.

But they do care!

A mate of mine had an app on his Ipad that involved throwing coins at a plumber's arse crack. Fairly sure he paid for it as well.
