The Booty-Bay Experience
Hermione Photowedge is no fan of goblins. Infact, she would go as far as to say that she despises them. Non the less, her work life has been completely stressful lately and the fact that a certain gnome clad in green cancelled the largest wedding of the year (which had been arranged by Hermione herself!); as a result making Hermione crave for a holiday to simply get away.
She ordered Jeeves her butler to pack her bag, Goofy her packmule to load them on the private gyrocopter and her personal pilot to fly her straight to Booty-Bay A.S.A.P!
The gyrocopter landed outside the tunnel which leads into the Goblin port side-city. Hermione stepped out in fashionable summer wear (a bikini, shawl, sandals and sunglasses!) The moment she did, the warm air blasted her skin and she smelt the strong scent of sea-water. Hermione smirked, clasping her hands together before clicking her fingers and ordering her pilot to carry her bags inside to the port-city.
The tunnel was dark and gloomy. The only source of light coming from the torches hung to the walls. This wasn't what she wanted but it was what she expected- after all, they're goblins! Hermione saw a small rat scamper across the floor boards and under a fish net that was hanging from the wall. She shuddered. Rats.
At the end of the tunnel a sassy goblin lady wearing a tight suit and short skirt greeted Hermione and her pilot. The goblin was named 'Aleaze' and hated gnomes almost as much as Hermione hated goblins. Non the less, she smiled as polite as she could before escorting the two gnomes down the ramp into the heart of the port-city.
Hermione could no longer smell the lovely salt-water anymore but instead smelt what seemed to be a mixture of oil, sawdust and fish; she gagged.
The sun was still beating down on them as they trooped across wooden planks and ramps, stepping lightly across nets and climbing spiralling staircases. Booty Bay was awfully confusing.
Finally, Aleaze opened a door to one of the more pleasant looking houses in the port-city. It was situated at the top, overlooking the crystal coloured sea. Hermione sent her pilot away with nothing more than a nod. She then thanked Aleaze for what it was worth and sat down on her large bed, alone in the large room. It seemed that although the goblins did not like her, they liked her money and as such accommodated her well.
The room was well lit. The far wall was littered with sweet-smelling candles and two large lamps resided on the bed-side tables. The bed was large- big enough for two tauren and the blankets thin as to not over heat anyone in the boiling stranglethorn weather. The window was large and showed an astonishing view of the port-side, crystal sea and nearby island.
She stepped up from the bed and stood by the window, peering at Booty-Bay. They had nearly finished clearing up the mess from the Cataclysm. Nearly. Gnomes would be done by now.
Hermione smiled, peering at the door. She was on holiday. Alone. With money. And with that, she flinged open the door and bounced down the confusing path to the nearest tavern, holding her purse with no expectations of having anything remaining in it at the end of the night!
