The Magisters

Introduction
The Magisters are a group of blood elf mages and are one of three factions in the government of Silvermoon City and all of Quel'Thalas. They are led by Grand Magister Rommath, a master of Arcane, Fire, Frost, and Holy magic. Out of the three main factions within Silvermoon, the Magisters are probably the oldest, as the Highborne exiles who originally conceived the nation were mages, first and foremost, before they began to compose their ranks with those trained in archery and martial combat.

In more recent times, the Magisters have begun to drift apart from Rommath's leadership. It began first with the Scryers, who began to follow the ways of the Naaru. Next, the Sunreavers. With many elves having family or friends in Dalaran, some have chosen to stay under the Kirin Tor's leadership. Still others have chosen to join new Orders, but now, under the leadership of the Lord Magister Abulos Sunwing, the remaining Magisters of Silvermoon are once more unting under one banner.

Objectives
OOC objectives
- To give the Defias Brotherhood RP Community an RP guild inspired by the Magisters of Silvermoon.
- To provide a friendly and enjoyable home for experienced role-players, and a good start for new RPers.

IC objectives
- To serve and protect Quel’Thalas from her enemies.
- To educate new magi in the ways of magic.
- To instruct the Fastriders and Blood Knights in the ways of counteracting enemy magics.


Recruitment
By no means do we aim to have a monopoly on the caster classes. We merely feel that, as Silvermoon now has the Farstriders and Blood Knight Guard, we’d like to ‘complete the set’ by introducing a Magisterial guild to the mix.
Our recruitment strategy, as with other guilds, is twofold. An OOC application on our forums or an OOC chat in game via whisper, followed by an IC interview. This is nothing to worry about; we just like to get a feel for your character. As long as you’re not the demon-spawn love child of Arthas and Jaina, we’ll probably be fine with it. Inexperience isn’t a problem; we’d still love to have you, and will gladly teach you about RP and the world of warcraft.

Player Requirements

Maturity: This isn’t an age restriction, we just like our members to have passed the stage of mindlessly ganking people, or preferably not gone through that phase at all.

Players should also have some information about Quel’Thalas and the Sin’dorei. If ‘The Fall’ means nothing to your character, or if they don’t become slightly enraged at the name Arthas, you’ll need to read a bit more.

Be aware that we’re not a raiding or arena guild. However, as time goes on we may try and gets some groups up and running.

Character Requirements

For obvious reasons, unfortunately we cannot accept anything other than Blood Elves.

We’re not a religious or overly-militarised guild, so unfortunately only Mages and Warlocks will be allowed to join.
However, we may recruit other classes if they have an IC reason to be in a magical guild, for instance, they are affiliated with the Reliquary, or you are employed my one of the Magisters as personal guards or something.

Also, we recruiting Warlocks, Mages, Priest. Any other class must have a really good reason to join us.

Being part of the Magisters doesn't make you a Magister. The Magistry is a Sin'dorei organisation of magic users. This means we got the everyday magic user trying to figure out his or her fireball till die hard politicians, archmages and name it.
