Aniane would use this as an opportunity to try out a new poison and then quietly dispose of the body. One fewer member of the Chapter makes the world a better place.

* The smell of damp fills your nostrils as you slowly come around, cold, bare stone rests under foot, pressed firmly against you back. As you open your eyes you catch a glimpse of a black figure silhouetted against a rain beaten, leaded window. You try to move but your wrists and ankles are bound in irons. The figure doesn't move, it simply stands there, watching, surrounded by the sound of rain hammering against the tiles above your head, the window behind him. Suddenly a bright flash illuminates the room, for a second you see a table before you, covered in steel object that shimmer in the light. As the flash fades it is followed by a deep rumbling from the distance that you can almost feel more than hear. Then the footsteps, hard leather on stone as the silhouette is not longer there. *

"You were warned... You were told that he would not be held responsible for the actions that followed those threats if you refused to stand down..."

*You can hear the footsteps making their way around the room, slowly closing in. You know the voice, you've heard it many times before, only this time it's different, it's cold, lacking some how.*

"But you're a good soldier. You did what you thought you must for your Kingdom..."

*Another bright flash illuminates the room. The figure is standing before the table, his left hand running along the cold steel lit up in the lightings glory. There, the rumble comes again, you can feel it, you know you can. *

"And now here we are. The Vulture is still no nearer it's cage. The Warlord still free to do as he pleases... But his sister... Her freedom was taken by a good soldier doing what he thought was right for his Kingdom. Her life taken but a good soldier doing what he thought was right for him kingdom..."

*You hear the sound of steel scraping lightly against the wooden table, yet you stand strong. You're a warrior of Arathor, strong and proud, you can face him down. You pull lightly upon your shackles, testing their strength, they hold fast.*

"So here we are... One good soldier and the person he swore never to allow into the light again... And after tonight, when the dust has settled, the screaming stopped, when I finally give you the sweet release you will have begged and pleaded for. Know that your ruined Kingdom shall burn, and your woman... Your woman will be safe and sound in the Vultures talons..."

*A final flash illuminates the room as you're about to speak. You see the blade gleaming in the light as right before your face stands the man with a single dazzling emerald eye.*
