Darkmoon Faire Guild?

Only yesterday I realised that the Darkmoon Faire has its own portal + island and I got to thinking what you could potentially create from that. The reason I posted here instead of going straight to the drawing board was incase anyone else has created a DMF guild. I didn't want to overwrite any server-lore regarding the Faire. Considering it comes by monthly for a week or so, there is plenty of room for RP in cities and around the Faire grounds. You could even be travelling or stationary in certain cities during the wait time for the next Faire. My idea for the guild was to make a very underground "behind closed doors" feel to the Faire. A secret organisation of sorts.

So my main question is, Is/has there been a Darkmoon Faire guild?

As far as I know there has been Darkmoon 'employees'. People playing magi or such that work there.. But as for a guild, it becomes almost impossible to keep interest because as you say, they are only about for a week now, and they have their own island, they don't travel. So people will focus on getting all the dailies done..

Yeah, what she said. Would need a group of not-easily-bored folks to form a guild like that. Or just have it as an alt guild, that's active at least during every Darkmoon Faire. I suppose that could work better.

But of course, there'd still be the whole "So...what should we do?" detail. Farm those Darkmoon Cloaks for each member and go around cities, advertising the Faire...mneh. Or farming Darkmoon Hammers instead and using them to whack gnomes to give people training for the real thing/alternative targets to whack at? Maybe!

TLDR; Nice idea, but possibly nothing more than that. I of course don't have any experience on creating guilds, so...

I was considering making it more than just the Faire though. Using the Faire as a front. Has anyone seen the last season of Heroes (season 4) - although not so good, they had a similar feel to it. Like you said though, an Alt guild could work. But I like the idea of being happy, fun and exciting on the outside - but manipulative, conspiring and twisted behind closed doors.

I've noticed a few guilds pop up now and then, speaking of which I saw a level 18 female human warlock in a guild named and she had a role-play addon, about three days ago.

Not sure on if it's active or whatever.

Anywho, I'd be intrested in moving an alt into this. I like the idea of a guild that roleplays the Darkmoon Carnies in the spare time- like you said an orginzation, a gang, there's got to be something they do whilst also going around cities advertising for the next faire and showing tricks and handing out treats etc. Etc.

So yes, if you go ahed with this- give me a poke! (if it's Alliance side)

I'd be up for doing some minor work for a Darkmoon Faire guild on Copper, that doesn't mean I'd join it- Just help it out a bit on the sideline.

There is a faire-like, entertaining guild. The Travelling Thespians. I'm sure Cad/Clutz will listen to any ideas to improve his guild.
