Easier to report player names in coming patch
In the 4.3.4 patch there will be an easy in-game tool for reporting player names. (see the link)

Now this makes it much easier for us to report non-RP names, instead of having to write tickets you can just right click on a player and report the name! If there will be any actions taken is of course a different matter, in my experience it varies a lot from GM to GM, some are eager to help and some doesn't seem to care.
Still a great option and should help us to get rid of the worst names at least!

I still miss an option to report OOC behaviour.
Oh right, I guess that's because they don't do anything about that regardless.

My irl mate once picked the name "umadcuzubad". I reported it...and after 4 months time he had to name change. So yeah, I think they do work on it. Just slowly...

Re: Easier to report player names in coming patch
A friend of mine had a 'report crusade' towards a player named "Icemanager". Not sure if the name finally got changed, but it stayed the same for two years at least. But by now I've figured that the name has to be something truly offensive/sexual/or such to get Blizzard's attention quickly. Or that at least seems to be the case...
...and yeah, it's not automatic. That would be completely crazy. "Surprisingly" that's what some people seem to assume, as they bitch "gr8, now sum1 reports my name and I get baynned permanently gg bli$$ard!!1" like the GMs wouldn't look at those tickets at all. 'course the people who make me groan the most are the ones being oh-so-worried about Blizzard censoring their freedom of speech*, regarding the language report function. (*read = Making [Anal] jokes in /trade and so forth]. But I do partly agree with the system most likely causing a handful of such great suggestions as "cuould u make vanilla servurs for us, pls? :)))" , but, well...no pain, no gain! Or something. Hopefully the GMs reading through those messages get some extra payment.

Nah I have reported lot of names that were changed the next day and such but like I said, at times when reporting no changes were made at all, so really depends on the GM, which is a shame.

Re: Easier to report player names in coming patch
I've reported names and seen them changed almost instantly (within hours or days). In one case on a previous guild member who wanted an alt in a previous guild. When he whispered for an invite, it was rejected because the name was stupid. The report followed.
I also reported your friend Magir
