therefore prison guards would know this = put more guards on duty

thus breakout is prevented beffor it begins Razz

delidah is not a simple cartel grunt that would be left to rot.. many people want her.. as a prison guard.. you want to stop this

Problem is, this has gotten so big and there's so many parties involved that we kind of have to meta somewhere to keep everyone involved and up-to-date, or we'll get very silly IC clashes because people are poorly informed OOC.

I am sorry this is the last post I'll do in this thread but this has to be replied to:
1. The initial prison break happened due to lack of people from the regiment online at 3 in the morning. This was shamelessly exploited while in the meantime Inneh wasnt being too smooth either (But she was the only guard online at that stage)
2. You can not pretend guards are not there simply because we are not online, just because we are guards it does not mean you can ALWAYS depend on the players behind them to be ready for everything at any stage
3. Delidah is a simple grunt. She is known about through Stormwind as a teenage-disco mage her reputation is hardly what you are trying to make it seem

I'm out to get back to the rp now, we will find out at tomorrow's council what will happen.

Why would the characters that wasnt there be informed of such things unless they have other characters to tell them IC? Is a clash silly because of the fact that a character doesn't know or does it actually have meaning for a character that believes the situation is another? There's a trend of over analyse and talk about plots from an OOC perspective that's frankly harmful to immersion and breeds metagaming.

If I even take one peek into the wrong thread these days, even where I wouldn't expect it I may find myself with information my character doesn't have. Example; I'm a judge in many cases I get loaded with information I'm not supposed to have which can go wrong in many ways... either I subconsciously keep this information in mind when I make the call IC and judge harsher or I let characters off easy because I do my best not to meta so much that I disregard/go blind to actual IC fact/evidence.

Therefore I ask several of the frequent "debaters" in these threads to keep their elaborate OOC conversations private instead of blurting it out on the forums. Thank you.

TL;DR: Less discussing, more RP.

Bullshit. You don't. Assumptions, rumours, conflict through incorrect IC information is what its all about.

or do you actually think that people tell the truth in courts, to their judges, to the policemen, that politicians do anything based on good information? hell, I wonder why we got into Iraq then...

no we're constantly all poorly informed about almost everything.

That's what strings this along.

Meta-gaming is bad and should be avoided where-ever possible. just be happy so many parties are involved on completely hear-say basis alone.

I'm talking about situations where 40+ players get involved in a plot. You can't wait for everyone to be online to continue playing, so players are going to miss developments here and there. When that happens, you really need to get people informed in an OOC manner, or things start getting increasingly confusing.

no you don't.

all you need is to make sure the key-players are online for they key-events.

what's wrong with 5 guys chasing you and dragging you to helmfrid the inquisitor because they didn't know you were already punished by the stormwind court system?

Exactly nothing. its RP Roll with it.

Confusing is good.

Confusing generate more RP.

you can have a dozen more conversations and mini-events because people aren't informed as they should be through meta-gaming information.

If you do feel the need to inform people. DO IT IN AN IC MANNER

I suggest this thread gets cleaned up and part of it gets split into an "official" OOC topic to discuss this here plotline. There is evidently a strong desire to discuss these events, metagaming or not, but I do not feel that the IC section on the forums is the right place.

Perhaps a seperate thread in Game Related or Events is the way to go.

To clarify, I used a poor choice of words. By "threw out" I simply meant we'd made our demands. They are clear and final as far as the Justice Ministry sees it. Also, during discussion with Exaythe, it was made clear that Stormwind were able to charge everyone involved despite it being a member of the Draenei community that perished.

It was a Stormwind jail, on Stormwind soil. So, yeah, that is how we'll be seeing it until more discussions are had, etc.
