Dropping these of because today I'm totally overly hyped up in cheer about my darling girl
Spent the afternoon together and got pounce-hugged-tackle-kissed with the sweetest greeting a kid can give: "I love you mommy and I'll never let you go"
I'm still in a semi-melted puddle of D'aawhhhh and stuff, so here you go Defias, my pride, my joy, my angel, MY EVERYTHING!

I didn't think youd like that ... mainly because I always though you (Monrena) were a girl until like 2 weeks ago and your "you throughout your life" picture thing made you out to look like some weird goth cutting kind of person

Re: RL picture thread
My grandmother is Turkish ... sort of ... she's actually Arabic-Iranian but grew up in Turkey. She has a funny Arabic accent ... or she would if she could speak it properly. She always refers to me using female pronouns :( But ya she doesn't look middle eastern at all ... darkish blonde with blue eyes although not that white, she's a kind of yellowy tanned white like me but much paler. Although she's from the north of Iran so that might be why she looks like that.
It's interesting though cause my other grandmother who comes from the south of Iran looks very middle eastern and has this really huge Jew nose with a very tanned/orangey complexion. She actually properly looked liked a witch cause she wore like traditional clothing from her hometown (kind of like the Arabic abaya) and she had dark red hair (because of henna) and she always had a head scarf on so with her big nose and an even bigger purple wart right on the tip of her nose she was like the witch from Snow White or something.
And I thought it was "marhaba" not "merhabar". And written Turkish is so weird ... didn't you guys used to use Arabic letters but then developed an inferiority complex and wanted to be accepted as Europeans so you switched to the Latin alphabet? :}
I think it was the Ottomans anyways who actually "fixed" the Arabic alphabet to make it easier to read because before, 3-5 entirely different letters all had the same symbol so it was much harder to decipher Arabic texts.
Arabic is still a horrible language to learn though ugh ... and even I find the pronunciation hard sometimes. There's this horrible letter "dh" or something and to pronounce it you have to like turn your tongue inside out and push it through your nose and out through your brain or something ... ddhhhhh

+"She always refers to me using female pronouns" i don't know about that but you talk like a woman
+Well all the races were mixed in The Ottoman Empire because they did no discrimination or racism. So that's why your grandma is Arabic-Iranian and lives in Turkey
+ Merhaba = Hello / Merhabalar = Helloes
+Ottoman Turkish was a Turkic language highly influenced by Persian and Arabic. The Ottomans had three influential languages: Turkish, spoken by the majority of the people in Anatolia and by the majority of Muslims of the Balkans except in Albania and Bosnia; Persian, only spoken by the educated; and Arabic, spoken mainly in Arabia, North Africa, Iraq, Kuwait and the Levant. Throughout the vast Ottoman bureaucracy Ottoman Turkish language was the official language, a version of Turkish, albeit with a vast mixture of both Arabic and Persian grammar and vocabulary. If the basic grammar was still largely Turkish, the inclusion of almost any word in Arabic or Persian in Ottoman made it a language that was essentially incomprehensible to any ethnic Turkish Ottoman subject who had not mastered Arabic, Persian or both.
Because of a low literacy rate among the public (about 2–3% until the early 19th century and just about 15% at the end of 19th century), ordinary people had to hire special "request-writers" (arzuhâlcis) to be able to communicate with the government. The ethnic groups continued to speak within their families and neighborhoods (mahalles) with their own languages (e.g., Jews, Greeks, Armenians, etc.) In villages where two or more populations lived together, the inhabitants would often speak each other's language. In cosmopolitan cities, people often spoke their family languages, many non ethnic Turks spoke Turkish as a second language. Educated Ottoman Turks spoke Arabic and Persian. In the last two centuries, French and English emerged as popular languages, especially among the Christian Levantine communities. The elite learned French at school, and used European products as a fashion statement. The use of Turkish grew steadily under the Ottomans, but, since they were still interested in their two other official[citation needed] languages, they kept these in use as well. Usage of these became limited, though, and specific: Persian served mainly as a literary language for the educated, while Arabic was used for (Copypasta from wiki)
+And Atatürk simply reformed our language with latin letters and extracted the persian, arabic and french words
+Arabic is a horrible-sounding language, but persian-turkish-arabic poetry is the best poetry in the world. Even the Persians, Turks or Arabs can't understand the meaning of them
+ Plus, i've seen your pic, you look like Turk - Arabic breed (i don't know if you say "breed" for that)
