Maps and whos in charge of where

Well, I've been reading through all the kind of RP PvP campaigns that you guys have all organised in the past, and some guilds like to carve out territories of their own wherein any RPers that go into these lands are subject to their laws.

Then I stumbled across this large ass map of all of Azeroth which somebody made up out of all the ingame zone maps and dotted it with all the BGs and stuff.

So, thought that if you guys wanted, you could jot down onto here which territories belong to whom mainly as a cue for new guilds so they know which groups tend to be the dominant powers, and who knows, there may be future campaigns with expansionist goals in mind.

You can either mark the entirety of Shattrath or just the Aldor Rise for the Naaruvada. We do not exactly own the place, but it is where we operate and our most important temple is.

I'm just wondering what "Tel Abim" Is.

I spot a Scrolls of Lore stamp in the right bottom corner. Lovely forum that.

Can mark the Acherus and the Enclave off as Ebon Land, along with Ebon watch in Zul'drak and the Shadow vault in Ice crown. (Note... Claming it for Mograine and all DKs, as it is in Lore. Not property of the Shroud in any way and I <3 everyone who wants to come and RP there).

Will it not become difficult to pinpoint, for example, where a guild's base would be in a specific city, such as stormwind. There are many guilds there with their own stamp.

Also The Three Hammers has Ironforge and surrounding dwarven area's.

I would assume for that we would need to use a larger map of the cities. As I said earlier, I just randomly found this, I'm not claiming anything in its creation. Although later on when i get enough time I will probably end up making stamps and then photoshop it onto the map.

There already is a Map of Stormwind with some zones coloured according to whom owns the territory, as well as marks for public bars, and other such things. Unsure when last updated, though!

As Shakira said, TTH has Ironforge and Khaz'modan areas, togheter with Dun Garok in Hillsbrad and some other dwarven outposts, especially in twilight highlands.

Disciples have Westbrook and share the cathedral quarter with the other holy guilds

Ere Argus is, as always, based in Exodar.

If it's possible, you can mark off Caer Darrow/Gahron's Withering/The Weeping Cave for Army of the Damned (AotD).

We usually RP all around WPL/EPL, but we're based in those 3 spots.

I suggest everyone also starts setting "homes" with TRP2. It could be quite a nice utility.

Blades for Hire operates from the Pig & Whistle in Stormwind.
Delidah lives in a very specific tent in Shattrath.

If we have someone good with advanced-image-making, we could make a legend in which each guild is selectable. When selected, it could show the guild's area of operations.. Like that, two guilds can roam in one area without the legend being confusing.

Then again, it's hard. A challenge for thee!


Oh, and Tel Abim is an uninhabited island. There's mainly banana trees on there, according to the tales. It's inaccessible/non-existant in WOW, like most South-sea islands.

I like the idea but I'm guessing it will cost more time to make than time it will be used. Suppose we do have the software where every guild is capable of marking their own areas and a map that permits us to view all the areas of operation... Then imagine the discipline it would take from every guild to keep that information up to date. Without the information being up to date, it risks crumbling into the dark pit of oblivion.

Hmm... but admitted... it would be awesome to have.

There are people who enjoy such things, like an hobby.. I simply have no knowledge on this subject, but if there is someone who is and he/she things it's an interesting challenge.. Y'know..

The Legion's Hand do operate out of Stonewatch Keep, but I wouldn't say we -own- it, as claiming territory is always a bit of an issue. More like we're squatting in it.
