Remembering Kandalf!

What ever happened to the wise and mighty human Mage? Last I saw of him he posted a story on how he blew up the Horde!

He was around at the beginning of BC and through Vanilla, he was always about level 10 and always posted some funny little stories on the realm forums, when I say funny I mean really really bad ones. I'm just bored at work and thought "I wonder what happened to Randalf" \o/

Ill keep my eyes peeled. See if we can't find find him if he still plays. XD

I remember Randalf, doubt he's around though.

I'm not actually looking for the guy, just wondered if he did anything weird or something and I managed to miss it.

well easy method make a new mage with the same name and request a name steal.. if its granted.. you know the mage has stopped playing some time ago

Does that actually work...?

You can have names freed up six months after the account went inactive, if the name belongs to a low level character.
For a max-level character, the name is locked for at least a year.

I got 3 years from a gm when i asked for a name for an inactive 80

I believe some are missing the point, as he's not looking to use the name. But yes, Kandalf's a remnant of the good, old drama-forums. I believe he killed himself for the good of all of us in the end.

Kandalf was very tired.. he was the only mage with so much power and if he wanted he could kill everything.. but he did not want that so he killed him self..

what I meant was. Trying to take his name would give a few results
1 blizz say no... Acount active / toon still exists
2 blizz say yes.. Acount inactive / toon deleted. Mage no longer plays

Oh I remember him. Was either the best troll ever, or the worst RP'er/Story writer ever.

I always thought he was an alt of some forum celebrity as we had back then.

I miss Halidirs gibberish rants about (I think?) world pvp. They were part hard to decipher/part brilliant

Troll or not, his posts were pretty much the only reason I went near the realm forums back then. Aside from Heresy's stories anyway.

The guy was beyond awesome.

I had an ingame talk with him once, I swear he was constantly high off something really strong.

Also, while we're at the subject of oldschool forum trolls, what happened to Dorsbur?
