[A-RP] Assault on the Thandol Span!

"G'day. From the Second of January, to the Third, the Legion's Hand will be hosting an RP Event, comprising of an assault upon the Thandol Span, in an attempt to hold it as they bring a Demonic Artifact from Arathi Highlands through. While we are fully content with it being a one-guild event, we hugely welcome any other Guilds, or, for that matter, just individuals whom might wish to prevent the save passage of this artifact. For example, the Chapter of Holy Anethion might wish to slay us, and destroy the artifact, or the Three Hammers may take this as a threat to Dwarven Lands.

We do already have a schedule planned for the event, but first we would like to see if other people are interested in taking part.

A Cult moving through Arathi? I'm fairly sure we'd have spotted them moving shady stuff through our lands and would certainly stop them or atleast approach them for answers!

Not if my Death Knight from the Horde has anything to say about that Lex He doesn't take kindly to demon artefacts getting that close to the elven lands...so long as the artefact ain't going anywhere near Quel'thalas or the Forsaken Lands, you'll be fine

Well by welcome I mean welcome to come and RP. What ever happens after then... Im assuming the artifact isnt a large golden idol on a chair being carried by several slaves.

"Starting at 6:00PM SERVERTIME, all whom wish to hinder these foul Cultists from transporting this artifact through into the Wetlands may attend. The Schedule is as such:

Day 1 - Monday:

6:00PM: Forces arrive at the Span, finding the Cultists already in position, after camping nearby for the night. By the end of the Night's RP, the Cultists will have been driven back into Arathi, however still with the Artifact. Exhausted, both forces retire for the night.

Day 2 - Tuesday:

6:00PM: The opposing forces begin to track the Cultists into the Highlands. Soon afterwards, they are caught. The Item is destroyed before the opposing forces can get their hands on it, however the Cultists are now defeated and broken. From there it is completely up to the rest what to do with these vile specimens.


While this may seem awfully scripted, I find that it is better to have at least some semblance of an outline, to avoid total chaos. It is completely random -how- the battle takes place on Day one, -how- the Cultists are caught on Day two, and what to do with them afterwards.

.. Stromgarde could've spotted them, but too late to undertake action in the highlands? You could've chased them to thandol and attacked from behind?

Arathor is large too. Best thing Stromys is to find them in game and get talking!

If our Bitter drinking T' Ferret an' t' whippet allies are in trouble Alterac will happily ride to Assist!

It's more than likely we had spotted them already, and we are going to engage them in game, yes.

But some mutual respect to aknowledge our presence wouldn't have been wrong either. Arathor is large yes, Arathi, not as large. :3

Unless you where purposely searching every caravan and halting every group of people passing through the Highlands I doubt you'd find them. I'd be suprised if they where walking in black robes team-carrying the artefact above their heads in clear view. I'd say at best we'd all have suspicions, we'd hear rumours and sightings. If they want it, which they seem they do, we can say an Alliance scouting party returned to their outpost two men down claiming they where caught by a group of warlocks and barely got away. Reporting they where escorting some strange cargo. Their outpost would send an immediate report to an Alliance military base which would then forward said reports to the Chapter and any Northern Alliance forces. This then gives us enough reason to warrant action and explains why they went for so long undetected.

Due to the timing of this event I'm not sure if we can turn up in number but I can guarantee there will atleast be an Inquisition presence. At the very least I'll be there with one or two others.

Certainly. And i think she would had but as far as i got to know the leader is new to the server and i doubt she's aware of every guild and their HQs.

Anyway, it's nice to see from such a new and somewhat random person to try and engage with others like this during their RP event.
