Epilogue

The time has come for me to say my farewells and take my leave of WoW and the community. The bags are packed and there is just some final business to take care of.

It’s been seven years and it is astonishing to look back and realise what a huge part of my life this game have been. It and this community have given me innumerable experiences and I cherish them all. However it is now time to move on.

Unfortunately I haven’t had time to finish all my characters’ storylines in-game. I will offer a few lines as a sort of epilogue though.

Aleric – He was kidnapped and put in a barrel a few weeks back by Bret Bradshaw and his pose. His final fate I leave up to Bret.

Mailin – Director Mailin Isastra Azuresong returned to Dalaran to continue her work to protect the world against magical deviants. The Dalaran Directive remained a fringe organisation and met little success, often overshadowed by such individuals as Thrall the World-Pimp and Med’an. Funding was eventually cut and Mailin went back to teaching spelldancing in Dalaran.

Saraid – Lady Saraid Mistmantle was offered the possibility to study in Dalaran and she leaped at the opportunity. Her contact with her dear Uncle, Braiden Mistmantle, remained sporadic; a few letters every year. After a few years she vanished during unexplained circumstances and hasn’t been heard from since.

Safia – Safia (Nicola Arnot) returned to her desert home in Tanaris on the summons of her tribe Elders. She was released from the service and conditioning towards Sophyra but was instead imbued with a demon of the deserts, sent into Uldum to carry out the wishes of the Elders. She was sacrificed by Elder Sarosh as he fended off attackers during in-fighting among the tribe’s Elders.

Aisling – Aisling Rose, the Black Magic Woman, the Fel Chef, ended her days in one of the Legion’s fortresses on a forsaken world in the Twisting Nether. The dark energies, restrained and channelled for seven years, within her finally reached the critical point. In a conflagration of dark power that consumed everything, Aisling met her end, alone. She is survived by a sister, Gahalla Rose.

Finlas – A Son of Winter, Finlas kept true to the ways of his order. Over the following years he walked across Azeroth, sowing strife and misery in his wake, weeding out the weak from the strong. Eventually he came across a test he himself proved not strong enough for.

Khordir – He got drunk, fell down, got drunk again. No problem. There was some flatulence involved as well.


I wish you all joy and happiness. You have been good companions over the years.

It's a shame I haven't had the opportunity to ever roleplay properly with you. Regardless, you know what they say; all good things must come to an end. With that said, I wish you luck in that vast world. May life treat you well.

I'd say goodbye, but I won't since you will still hear from me just as often as before Sad to see you fully leave WoW though, you've been a huge contribution to the Defias community. Have fun in TOR, and stay alert up there in snowy-land. I'm still planning to come visit some day!
