I am going to try to write a political manifesto and would like to find a few folks who want to write a page or two for a ghi book. There for I wonder who would be up for having a meeting set up somewere quiet to bang ideas down ic. My hope is it will lead to a new side of the current story lines and such like. SW seems like it is getting rather authoritarian and such atm (which is really, really cool) and hopefully this can tie a few different groups together into a more united anti-fanatic, forward thinking, reform party.

I'd gladly write something up for you, Lexgrad, but, like Genevieve already pointed out, you got the wrong terminology there.
Reactionaries want to go back on the old ways, which in Stormwind's case would mean Absolutism (?).

Try going for: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberalism, and then focus mainly on the Age of Enlightenment.

I could change the term.... But is the french revolution IC and H. L. Mencken, Gerald Warner and John Lukacs IC chars? Do there words or thoughts exist in SW?

The point is we will be the ones to start these thoughts, I dont want really to transpose irl stuff straight into the game. The challances we face in game are not the same as pre revolutionary france for example. And it is doubtful the chars we play have the education to match there interlects.

But we can sort it out largey in game, the main thing is that it comes from a few minds and ideas on how the thing should go down. Get hung up on SW social unfairness IC and not irl terms.

I think the issue is that if you name your movement something akin to a real movement/ideology there might be people confusing the two.

If you call yourself reactionaries, then people will actually think you are reactionaries.

So if you don't want to name yourself after one of the real ideologies, I suggest coming up with, if not a new, then at least a lesser known name for your group.

TBH I didnt even know it was a movement Forget the name, will change it but just give me a yes or a no if you are interested!

Well I can only talk for my char but it is the kind of thing he wants. He doesnt want to remove the king but he does want him to be more accountable to the council and people. He wants to see the church moderate, not quite a secularist but not that far away. Finally he wants the house of nobles to be reformed , in perticular how they farm.

Revolt!

Well Mutt ( and myself for that matter ) had, and still has, very warm feelings towards Stormwind's peace keepers when he first came in to town. Let me just point out that Mutt is one of ze good guys... And ze good guys think him garbage.

To be honest i raised this hoping for some political/rabble rp in SW but people seemed more hung up on the name than the RP. If people are genuinly interested I will give it another go.
