'Trapped - for eternity?'

*A blood curdling yell echoes out...the yell of a weak, desperate man that has been held captive for what seems like an eternity. Aarian looks down at his shackled ankles, then to his shackled wrists - something he has done several times a day since they were freshly tightened and locked into place. How long ago this was...he doesn't know. He simply cannot remember...the hours...the days...the months... the years, perhaps? They have all blurred into one long eternity. Aarian closes his eyes and whispers some words...*
Aarian: "Light keep me strong. Light keep my friends and fellow Disciples safe. Let me not faulter under captivity, torture of the mind, torture of the body, torture of the soul. Guide me safely to a day when I am free once again..."
*Aarian is fairly gaunt, but not malnourished. Next to him is an empty bowl, some crumbs of bread and an empty wooden mug. His captors seem to be feeding and watering him enough in order to keep him stable. His wrists are red raw, probably through trying - in vein - to loosen the shackles or break free...*
Unkown voice further away: "Aaaaargh!!"
*In the distance, echoes of screams and ghostly noises can be heard. Aarian looks up, out through some rusty bars in his small, dungeon-like cell, that seperate him from which appears to be an old grand hall, containing old, worn furniture. The hall is littered with dust, cobwebs, vermin. In it's prime, the place must have looked stunning. But it seems to have been left to rot.*
Aarian: "Light...give my brothers the guidance they may need to find me, to bring my captors to justice...their reign of terror has continued for too long. May the Light overcome the darkness...."
*Aarian begins to drift off into a slumber. His only escape, his only freedom, is to dream. Alas, as he closes his eyes, he begins another journey into the only freedom he currently knows...*

I like the description of the grand hall, it certainly piques the interest! Is this a current captivity or something that happened in the past?
Poor Aarian, he really does seem to go through a lot of being kidnapped/brainwashed/tortured/various other unpleasant things.
