Cake/pie/cookies

After Flumis success with the tea/coffee thing I started to wonder what was the other large component of everyone tea/coffee breaks

My vote for Pie is very situational.
It has to be hot and right out of the oven.
Otherwise cookies or cake are both better. But nothing beats a fresh pie with a cup of tea.

It's almost a tie between cake and pie, but I'll go with cake this time as I've never seen a chocolate pie before!

For me it depends on what kind it is but I'll usually go for pie

I'll say cookies, only because I don't like most types of cake. A few are good though.

Cake: Any, more or less. Though not too sweet (chocolate, yes. fudge, no). Fruit cake is amazing. As is ginger cake laced with rum (my mates a baking god). My mum's spiced apple cake. Christmas cake with a slice of Wensleydale cheese. A proper slab of cake and some tea.

Pie: Any, more or less. Apple, rhubarb, gooseberry, cherry, pumpkin, pecan. I've baked them. I've ate them. I take it this is just sweet pies, right? And I can't extol the virtues of a proper pork / stand pie?

Cookies: Bollocks. Biscuits, yes (an open packet of biscuits is an empty one). Cookies, kiss my arse.

I like cake/pie/biscuits.
I like tea.
I like them together

Fruit cake is amazing gruff uff, but nothing beats arabic cake!!! I actually don't know what it's called, but all I know is that it's delicious. I think they put saffron in it :O

That's another kind of sweet but I don't think it's a cake? Or at least we don't call it a cake in arabic. It's delicious too though :p! I used to HATE arabic desserts but last year, I became obsessed with them. They're so sweet and syrups and unhealthy but so yummy and delicious aaah !!!

The one I'm thinking of though is like plain and they usually make it as cupcakes and it's yellow too. God its so delicious. It might not be traditionally arabic though, just Kuwaiti or possibly Indian? A lot of the traditional Kuwaiti food is actually Indian.

Oh and kanafah is so good too.

Oh and baklava *drools* and AH I just remembered what we call that almond/honey/saffron dessert, Gruff!!! Basbooba I think? In Kuwaiti anyways, I don't know what it's proper, arabic name is
