Your characters equipment

so! i thought i'd create a thread that allows everyone to explain the unique quirks, style and fit-outs your character has in terms of equipment, i'l throw out an example first from my orc blademaster krogon, feel free to copy, paste and edit your own in!

Krogon

Head - Wears the typical Red blade wolf mask, however this one is tatty and damaged. (and a little burned!)

Shoulders - Bare, wears nothing here.

Chest - Also bare, he wears nothing here!

Waist - he wears a folded up Red blade banner, allowing him to unfurl it mid battle if need be to use as a rallying point. this primarily holds his blades in place but under the wrap is an actual belt that holds several smoke bombs.

Legs - Krogon wears a set of leather trousers that have armoured plates running down his outer thigh's (these are for protection in duels/battle), the plates hide several shuriken. ontop of this he often wears a kilt to hide his legs and feet movements from foe's.

Feet - Simple sandals, or often nothing at all.

Hands - Mail gauntlets specialy designed to assist his sword techniques, they also hide blinding powder in sachets and a shuriken. he's trying to engineer them to allow him to hide and 'pop out' some claws for climbing or fighting... he's not doing well on this front.

Bracer - simple fur bracers.

Weapons - Two Katana, crafted by his own hand using his own special adamantite working techniques. razor sharp and very light.

Jewellery - Prayer beads around his neck made from dragon bone. was gifted to him by highblade mazguul sharpeye and one of his most cherished possessions both sentimentally and spiritually.

When I first read the title I felt it was a bit of a private thing to discuss so openly. However, seeing it's all fairly innocent..

JP wears a simple white robe with a blue belt and a tabard. There's a faithful medical pouch on his belt and a prayer book. No jewelry, no extras. Pious little fella.

Timna carries two sets of armour, but it's the original one that I use for casual style that I'll take to mind.

Timna
Head - A mask, intended especially to counter plague. Has a filter and makes it difficult, but not impossible, for gases and other airborne difficulties to get through.

Shoulders - Two shoulderpads with a lot of different straps to keep the clinking of the three daggers silent. Three daggers remain put with a small metal pin, three per shoulderpad, making it possible for her to shoulder-barge-stab. Behind the sharpness of the daggers there's a larger strap where you can, oddly enough, put kegs and other items which she most often uses for travelling.

Chest - Also contains a few straps to keep it simple, a major part of the so-called 'wraith' armour. No special things here much at all. Created out of ram and wolf hide if I remember correctly.

Waist - Careless item merely to hold things together - to set a pouch on, keep the tabard from flying about or simply hold various items. Often remains empty, though, except for the weapon sheaths.

Legs - These are the chestpiece with the most straps, only because in sneaking you're moving your legs the most. Once more, nothing special; has a part made out of -rat- hides, for some reason.

Feet - Two normal boots to fit. Has sheaths to hide two small blades, barely noticable due to the fact that they're made with the same leather and colouring.

Carries no special gloves (mere cloth) and no bracers.

Weapons - Two longblades, curved and made to easily ricochet other people's strikes. Always sharp edged and slung in sheaths by her belt.

Miscellaneous - Often carries a satchel at her side when out travelling or so.

Muzjhath

Head - Wears a reinforced wolfmask, typical of the Red Blade. Under the wolf head some ringmail is sewn in, then covered with leather for comfort.

Shoulders - Wears shoulder pads made out of hardend leather pieces. They partially cover her neck, and under she has padded chainmail tied tightly to her body.

Chest - She wears chainmail padded with leather, tightly fitting and tied to stay secure and not rustle. Covered with cloth for cammoflauge.

Waist - She has a normal belt with settings and hooks for various things. She covers this with a sash that is a tied Red Blade banner.

Legs - Muzjhath uses the same style here as she has on her chest. Chainmail padded with leather. Tightly sitting. At times she also uses a kilt that covers the leggings. The leggings also have several pockets of different sizes for utillity.

Feet - When moving about a lot she mostly is barefoot. When she is leasury around her tribe she often uses simple sandals. For battle she uses very though, metal reinforced leather boots. The boots have tons of small metal spikes in the sole both for grip and nasty kicks.

Hands - Leather archery gloves. The back of her hands chainmail reinforced. If she wears anything on her hands at all. She also has some climbing hooks she can attatch to them for better grip climbing big trees.

Bracers - Wears hardend leather bracers set with wide metal rings.

Weapons - Her main weapon is a bow that's been equiped with seveal blades for used in melee. Not much to parry with but very effective with a dodging sweeping style. It also has three adamantite blades forward for straight punching attacks.
She also carries a long, slightly bent, knife in her belt.

Jewellery - She has three ornamental daggers hanging at her belt, made out of what seem to be wyvern teeth. A side from that her only ornaments is a string holding several dried ears, most of a size and shape that seem human, also hanging from her belt.

Bag - A one strap bag in which she carries provisions, weapon fat, some lard, some salt, and several knifes for skinning and butchering. Also two wetstones and some bottles/vials of differnt types of spider venom and other poisons. She also carries quite a bit of very finly crafted metal arrowheads, and tools for fletching (more knifes, strings etc) with her.

Quiver - On her back, filled with arrow. Some have metal arrow heads, some doesn't.

I wish the quivers would show on character. Or ranged weapons for that matter! It feels a bit weird to pull a bow and arrows from out of nowhere >.<

Hammerspace of the Reliquary.

Head: Janak wears a crown crafted by the first person he ever loved, named Resolraan. Janak left with Velen out of spite, not choice. After suffering his long life and partial amnesia, he wore the crown only remembering that it was important. During recent revelations however, he's starting to remember the memorys behind it.

Rest of clothes: General clothes he aquired sometime between Argus and the crash of the Exodar. Generally well kept.

Shield: Janak only carries a shield, no weapon, as he doesn't consider himself a fighter, and uses his shield for various things, the obvious one being defense. He uses it to cover himself from bad weather, dig...idk, whatever one would use a large metal plate for.

Other: Janak has overly stretched ears - ruby red gems. In the place where the eyebrow would start and various places over his cranial plates, he has red gems implanted into his skull, for aesthetic uses only.

Head Nothing

Armour A full matching set of armour crafted by an old friend who knows that if it breaks then Ishap will raise hell.

Swords The Swords of Night and Day, one is blessed with Holy magic and the other with Shadow magic, requires an intense force of will to balance the effects of the two blades on her mind.

Other Ishap carries a rifle and a selection of knives

Lyniath

Head - A red chapeau, with golden embroidery and a scarlet insignia sewn to the front.

Shoulders - None.

Chest - A red corset, with more golden embroidery on the edges and white frills at the bottom.

Waist - Three or four belts, with holy tomes chained on, and pouches full of misc. items.

Legs - A darker crimson colour skirt, open at the front for flexibility, but still slighty covered by a smaller white skirt with the scarlet insignia on it. High cloth red legging tied up with black belts underneat the skirt.

Feet - simple sandals and red stockings.

Hands - Crimson gloves up to her upper arms, with similar black belts to her legs holding them up.

Weapons - A long, bleached staff, with a circular cross at the top holding a golden a crystal.

Jewellery - A small star necklace, a gift from her mother on the day she left home.

These days Sorayah can most of the time be seen wearing a silver circlet on her head, mooncloth robes with not that much underneath them, bracers, also of mooncloth, a necklace with a moonstone attached to it, and a simple staff with a crescent moon at the end of it.

Morinthththththth.. This should be fun.

Head - A red, leather eye-patch. Both her eyes work perfectly. She sometimes forgets which eye she normally wears it on and switches.

Shoulders - Deep red leather guards, with long, thin spikes in a brighter red.

Chest - A plain chest guard of reinforced leather, covered by her tattered red tabard with pirate insignia, holding all her hidden blades and poisons, etc. Also alcohol. Massive axes aren't unheard of. Never question what a woman hides around her person.

Waist - A fancy silver belt with red highlighting. An Alliance cloak pin in the shape of a lions head hangs from it, one of her many battle trophies and a gift from her favourite Orc. (<3) A few satchels you wouldn't want to put your hand in. Smells suspiciously like gunpowder...

Legs - Leather belt-esque wrappings criss cross up to her lower thigh with a black and red design. *Grins* The hanging tabard covers her under garments.

Feet - PIRATE BEWTZ. Ahem. Red leather boots, knee high with high stiletto heels. The heels themselves made from silver coloured steel. The inside of the boots may or may not contain hidden knives. \o/

Hands - Her right hand is covered by thick, red gloves, extending to her elbow. The tips are cut off, showing that her fingers have handled both poisons and the creation of explosives. The left hand is missing, replaced with a black and red mechanical creation with long, sharp claws in place of fingers.

Bracer - Hidden beneath the gloves, plane and black.

Weapons - Dual rapiers in a classy silver. You wouldn't see the rest until they're embedded in your skull.

Jewellery - Jewellery makes noise. The only form of jewellery she wears is a thin silver chain around her neck, with a small ankh on the end, and two gold hoops in her ears. Nothing that will jingle, or clash against each other.

Drustai

General: Drustai has multiple sets of clothes and is rarely seen in one outfit twice in a row. She typically changes clothes every day.

Head: Usually unadorned.

Shoulders: When at home, nothing, when out in public, typically high-arching shoulders that make Drustai look wider or taller than she is.

Chest: Almost always a long robe, of superb craftsmanship. Her styles are many, from regal and priestly, to pompous, glowing magewear, to dark, skull-adorned and obviously necromantic robes.

Her robes and undergarments typically are shaped and cut in such a way as to accentuate her assets. Often wears corsets.

Waist: When at home, nothing, when out in public, a large utility belt stuffed with magical reagents, travelling equipment, maps, scrolls, herbs, her spellbook, the sheathe for her dagger, and so on.

Legs: Typically either just undergarments beneath her skirt, or fine silk or cashmere pantaloons.

Feet: Silver or gold ankle bracelets

Hands: Typically nothing while at home, fine black gloves when out in public (she wears gloves when out usually to avoid others having to feel how cold her touch is).

Bracer: Masterwork silver bracelets, ocassionally swapped with gold when she wants a brighter look.

Weapons: When at home, nothing. When out in public, a simple dagger at her waist (replaces her previous enchanted dirk, which was lost when she escaped from a rogue death knight). She'll also carry four wands, one of each of yew, bone, hickory, and lilac. Last, she carries one of four staves--a bone staff for when she expects to be casting a significant amount of necromancy, her draenethyst Auchenai staff for when she wishes to focus on equal proficiency with both arcane and shadow magic, her brother's enchanted crystal staff for pure arcane work, and a copper staff when she expects to be doing a lot of healing, channeling, or mentalism.

Jewellery: She typically doesn't wear rings on her facial tendrils and tail, but does wear three silver earrings on each ear. She actually has three 'ring-bases' imbedded in each ear. Meaning, rather than simply pierced ears, she has three silver-lined sockets in her ears where she hangs earrings from.

She also occasionally wears rings on her fingers... typically gem-studded and silver, but sometimes gold.

War: When expecting proper combat, she will wear full plate or hardened leather battle armor. She typically does not wear robes or cloaks in combat, seeing them as impractical. Her plate armor is constructed of Saronite, like most death knights, adorned with extensive skull motifs. It is enchanted to aid in channeling necromantic spells. Her hardened leather suit, on the other hand, incorporates draenethyst crystals into the fiber, enabling greater channeling of arcane energies.

In addition, when expecting battle she will usually carry her runeblade with her. This is not her original soulblade, as that was destroyed nearly a year ago. Instead, it is a simple arcane runeblade, powered through channeling arcane energy into the runes rather than soul energy.


Saphra

General: All of Saphra's clothes are very baggy, dirty, tattered, and smelly. She only has one set of clothes.

Head: Often a patched, frayed hat, with dark smudges of dirt across the material. Otherwise, a dirtied leather headband. She also often wears a frayed, handknitted scarf around her neck.

Shoulders: Nothing

Chest: A very dirty, wrinkled, and patched gray tunic, covered by a fur-lined vest that is in equally poor condition.

Waist: A very large utility belt, holding several bags and pouches where she keeps all of her belongings, as well as the sheathe for her dagger.

Feet: Sturdy, but worn leather boots. The soles look like they won't last much longer, and will soon need to be replaced.

Hands: Dirtied, leather gloves. A few of the finger tips have holes in them.

Bracer: Leather straps wrapped around the ends of her sleeves to keep the cold out.

Weapons: A simple dagger, which appears to have spent most of its life inside the sheathe.

Jewellery: A tarnished nose ring and eyebrow ring, an earring on each ear.

Kih'rin

Head - Has an eye-patch that covers the socket his right eye used to reside in.

Shoulders - Wears light mail armour over his shoulders, or thick leather. Dependant on what type of fighting style he wants to use on that particular instance, most times bare.

Chest - Wears a lightweight leather curiass, though in large-scale battles he'll sport a blue breastplate made of cobalt.

Waist - A heavy leather belt with a small padded satchel to store his essentials in. Also wears a cloth tasset, or "battle-skirt" for you non-tassety folk.

Legs - Wears leather similar to his chestpiece, though will sport cobalt legplates in large-scale warfare.

Feet - Tan leather boots, or cobalt plate-boots.

Hands - Padded gloves, or armoured cobalt gauntlets with reinforced steel through the area his wrist is protected.

Bracer - Bandage wrap.

Weapons - A silver spear, forged by Blademaster Krogon and blessed with the grace of a benevolent denizen of the Skywall.
One greatsword of varying design, often used as an alternative to carrying a shield they tend to wear and break so replacements are often found on his back.

Combat knives, two. Serrated edge with leather hand-grips.

Short sword, the hilt is a hybrid of many common metals but the blade is refined iron.

Jewellery - None, jewelry is for sissies and purebloods!

Glad to see people taking to heart the meaning of such a thread, it also verifies the fact i KNEW morinth walked around in nothing but her underwear!

I'll add more once i have the time:

Shoulders
If you haven't seen them, then you'll be amazed. The shoulder piece are in a golden shiny colour, with a few golden spikes coming outwards and one bid living eye in each side. A true marvel of wickedness.

Head
Although i have a head piece, it doesn't show. The headpiece is a mere brown and bluish helmet.

Chest
An ornamented blue and brown plated armor, with small and glowish symbols.

Hands
Like the chest piece, the hand gear are plated and yet stretchy. Which is why Sor is most of the times stretching them.

Legs
Plated armor, used to absorve as much damage as possible and offer resistance to elemental attacks yet assist in running.

Feet
Plated big boots, spiked underneath for better crushing and scalling.

Grufftoof

Head - A set of goggles/lenses of his own design and creation (or a gas mask - depending on possible toxicity of any laboratory testing being done).

Shoulders – Nothing.

Chest – Bloody, gore-stained apron. Well worn and re-stitched numerous times, patched with leather and a riveted plate for “protection of specifics”.

Waist – The apron is tied by its own belt, hanging from which are a couple of hooks and bags.

Legs – Shabby trousers of cloth with leg-wraps. Or nothing - depending if there is company, or it’s cold.

Feet – Nothing.

Hands – Bandages or a pair of elbow length thick leather gloves stained by chemicals and various other fluids.

Bracer – Nothing.

Weapons – More “tools” than weapons. Massive, clumsily weighted, rust-pitted butcher’s cleaver. Number of scalpels, lancets and needles. A very small bit of pencil perched behind ear.

Jewellery – Various metal pins or sutures could possibly be deemed “jewellery”. Dwarven-runed metal tip to his right tusk. Silver hooped piercings, number of rings.

Eira's battle attire.

Eira

Head - For the most part wears nothing on the head.

Shoulders -Shoulder platemail, sometimes varying from a heavier more armoured version to a lighter more mobile chain version.

Chest - Between plate and mail armour. Depending on the situation.

Waist - Wears a belt with a scabard attached to it for keeping her sword in place. The Vanimedle family crest decorating the fine leather.

Legs - Wears platemail or average mail depending on the situation to be.

Feet - plated boot or leather boots.

Hands - Plate guards with a firm leather grip on the palm and fingers. Adorned with some symbolic engravings near the entry point.

Bracer - concealed chain ones.

Weapons - Verrine. Her mothers sword crafted out of an infusion of steel and fel iron. Previously a steel sword crafted to fit her technique.

In addition to her sword arms, she has a variation of between two shields as she uses both a sword and shield to fight.

Her first shield is a rather large circular red and black shield with a more fortified approach to it as its made to tight defensive standard with slower mobility and one spiked add-on.

Her other shield is a smaller circular gold and black coloured shield with a more thin razer edge but less defensive in more open battles, leaving this shield for the preferred nature of dueling or small scale. Sacrificing defence for mobility of being able to use her shield offensively.

Both shield have lots to pull out daggers from behind, the defensive shield has an additional slot.

Jewellery - Her Jewellery consists of her wedding ring and her silver necklace in the form of a snow-flake.

Cpt. (retired) Mortemer P. Weatherby-Jones

Head - A pith helmet or moth-eaten bowler. Monocle, lens cracked.

Shoulders – Nothing.

Chest – A tatty shirt, once white linen, and a (now) ill fitting black waistcoat. Braces of mildewed black leather. Cross-belt/bandolier.

Waist – A red scarf (Night Elven in design) tied as cummerbund.

Legs – High-waisted black trousers (with braces as above).

Feet – Hob-nailed military issue boots. With various holes and left sole half lose.

Hands – Nothing.

Bracer – Nothing.

Weapons – Gunnerson & Co “Deadstop” Over-Under Mammoth Gun. Intricately enamelled pistol “To Darling M, Yours Always P”. Hunting knife.

Jewellery – Pocket watch (broken) and chain. Crocolisk tooth necklace. Gold and ruby ring (female?), right hand little finger.

Head - Hood that is attached to her cloak. Red with decorative embroideries.

Shoulders - Matches the rest of her garments. Hardened red cloth with golden decorations and a green gem in the middle. Typical Sin'dorei color theme.

Chest - Red robe with a hint of white and black, made from the finest of fabrics and embroidered with golden thread. Endless amount of hidden pockets (so much easier than carrying a purse!) that contain various vials and a broken pocket watch with a serpent engraved on its lid.

Waist - Belt that matches the colors of her garments. Has a golden badge attached to it, with black edges and a red sun engraved in the middle.

Legs - Who knows.

Feet - Boots that once again match the colors of the rest of her garments. A few poison filled needles are hidden inside them.

Hands - Matching gloves with a few hardly noticeable chemical stains on them.

Bracer - Probably matches too, they never show under her sleeves.

Weapons - A golden mace with a red stone in the end. Doesn't look very effective for hitting purposes.

Jewellery - 2 expensive looking rings on her left hand. And the aforementioned broken pocket watch.

Feydor

Head - Wears his infamous, snazzy, chick-magnet black hat. Baller status here folks.

Shoulders - Just a couple chips.

Chest - Depends on the situation, but usually it'll be a stylish shirt in an attempt to come off more posh than he is.

Waist - A rather blank belt, with a funky smell wafting from a few pouches strapped to it.

Legs - Can't go wrong with the suit pants. But.. what are those.. stains.

Feet - His most recent purchase, a pair of boots, embossed with intricate gold designs. Perfect for kicking unruly Cartel gnomes.

Hands - Bruised knuckles.

Weapons - There is a long wooden smoking pipe stashed down his pants, incase he has to get high, or wobble a few skulls.

Jewellery - Being the playa he is, he naturally has an expensive looking necklace and a couple of rings, perfect for backhand slapping hoes.

Juju’ba, Fang of Dambala

Head - Dark green leather/snakeskin hood/mask stylised to look like a striking serpent. Thickly coated poison slowly “drips” from the “fangs” and Jujuba’s own tusks.

Shoulders – Dark green leather/snakeskin made for movement, not protection. Various green-tinged sharp bones (fangs?) jut from the armour.

Chest – Dark green leather/snakeskin made for movement, not protection. The leather is pungent and almost oily to the touch.

Waist – Belt of the same dark green leather/snakeskin holding the crossed sheaths for two 12 inch blades, a coil of rope and a set of lockpicks and (weighted) dice.

Legs – Dark green leather/snakeskin made for movement, not protection. As with all the leather pieces, the leggings smell strongly, almost bitter-sweet, and seem to be coated in some film or oil.

Feet – Dark green leather/snakeskin shin-wraps with a number of dried snake-rattles attached. These rattle and hiss when Juju'ba kicks.

Hands – Dark green leather/snakeskin gloves, fingerless. Bone barbs (as on shoulders) jut from the backs.

Bracer – Dark green leather/snakeskin pouched to hold fine powder/dust.

Weapons – Two 12 inch green damasked blades. Various pins, stilettos and vials secreted on person.

Jewellery – Jade ring and arm-torc in shape of serpent. Necklace of blackened (knuckle)bones.

Djego Stonehead

Head Hair grease. a perfectly trimmed beard and a dashing smile filled with blinding Pearly whites. Sometimes a monocle.

Body Dressed in a tailored Suit, adorned by the Majestic Symbol of his Grand Persona, The Gay Tabard Picturing Hogger Hoggerson the Third, slain in the great Elwynn Raid, before the re-opening of the Dark-portal. a tabard worn during all of his performances and escapades. A symbol dreaded and feared by all things of the Jiggly sex. Run Run away, before he stares at them.

Your Orc's been DYING to know since they first met, face it. At least he was allowed to serve her dinner that one time!
