[A] Remembrance Day

Been thinking of this for quite a while now, we did have some similair events in the past but nothing that lasted more than one time.
Basicly a Remembrance Day for the Alliance, an event where those who fell during the three great wars are celebrated and remembered. While there is the Day of the Dead that is for everyone who did pass away, this would be something different.
In order to make something nice out of it I would like to gather together some people to speak about it next thursday (29/9) 20.00.
The following topics would be spoken about:
- What date shall we pick
- Will it include all races of the alliance and if so will there be events all around Azeroth or how can it be arranged.
- What for activities, my ideas would be parade, memorial service, visit certain locations (example Stone Cairn Lake Island), speaches etc
Feel free to write down thoughts and ideas here at or contact me in-game, if you are interested to attend the meeting let me know!
Hopfully it can be an annual event.

This is an incredible idea. I was thinking about something similar early year but for various reasons I never got around to it.
I'd push for it to coincide with Remembrance Day with an OOC element to it aswell as IC. But that might be asking too much of people's concentration, as well as being a political hot bed of conflicting opinions.
I won't be able to make the meeting itself due to, funnily enough, early stage of preperations for an RL Rememberance Parade! But hopefully Tarvik will have the night off.

The first stroke of eleven produced a magical effect. The tram cars glided into stillness, motors ceased to cough and fume, and stopped dead, and the mighty-limbed dray horses hunched back upon their loads and stopped also, seeming to do it of their own volition. Someone took off his hat, and with a nervous hesitancy the rest of the men bowed their heads also. Here and there an old soldier could be detected slipping unconsciously into the posture of 'attention'. An elderly woman, not far away, wiped her eyes, and the man beside her looked white and stern. Everyone stood very still ... The hush deepened. It had spread over the whole city and become so pronounced as to impress one with a sense of audibility. It was a silence which was almost pain ... And the spirit of memory brooded over it all.

Great! I mean.. that's sad to hear, but at least it won't clash with an event of ours.
