After viewing the flash game thread yesterday and today both college and at home. Both of the computers picked up a virus lurking in the thread so go go go scan your computers.

and if anyone else picks up a virus please report it, its not nice having nasties lurking around!

Scanned my PC and picked up nothing.

So eh...

As I read this I got a trojan block message, so yeah, I'd do a quick scan now.

Full scan, nothing at all. You sure you didn't simply catch that from a different source?

I doubt BBC iPlayer has trojans. xD

Think it was one of the adverts. The window resized around it, and when I maximised it again and clicked on one of the subforums it alerted me.

Well thats what I thought at first but at both college and my home computer it doesnt seem likely. eitherway its dead my end.

I don't know, frankly. My scans came out clean. :/

I doubt mine has more than two firefox.exe files, though.

Well either way my virus scanner picked them up and its now gone after doing several virus scans picked up nothing after that one.


edit: I doubt this is it but is anyone using an avatar from *insert random website* and not hosting it though things like photo bucket or image shack?

Ye, erm... It might be a simple coincidence... But I came onto the 2nd page of this thread and BAM, AVG yelled at me saying I have a virus, its dead now... But me'h, just throwing that in there O_o

It might be an ad then.

My AVG is showing nothing, but my ads are blocked by noscript.

Haven't gotten any warnings, detections or alerts.

Im not sure if this is the same as you people are talking about, but this just happend to me an hour ago becouse they suspect that im infected with some kind of virus or keylogger.

Let me make something clear.

IMAGES CAN NOT PHYSICALLY CONTAIN TROJANS or other win32 viruses for that matter, including keyloggers and that kinda shit.

There might have been some scripts in the flash games themselves, however, that might or might not have been safe.

Also the only anti-virus I'd trust my life to above all else is dr.web so I suggest you pick up it's free version http://www.freedrweb.com/cureit/ and run a quick system scan;

Also tell me the name of your virus, please.
