The Rite of the Hunt (Shu'halo Mesa Circle intro event)
So after spreading the good word and handing our horns and tails to many a good roleplayer this weekend we will be ready to kick start the Circle IC. The event is almost complete in its planning and I feel now is the time to put it forward to the community. It will be a fun community event that doubles over as an initiation into the guild and the birth of it IC.
May I state that any tauren are welcome to join and be a part of the Circle even if they are already a part of the guild, the OOC channel will be used as platform for the guild and Tauren roleplay as a whole so for example you may be a member of the Horde armies yet still be a part of this society/Circle. It makes no difference, the guild will be IC/OOCly used for those who wish to place their whole allegiance to the Shu'halo and Mulgore rather than Horde or other obligations. I would greatly appreciate it even if Tauren where created for this event if you are interested in playing one but the options are still there for those with already existing Tauren in other guilds.
The Circle will still be Horde alligned yet less so than other guilds for the obvious reasons of the Tauren values and standpoints, we won't be collectively laying siege to Stormwind or Ashenvale!
So.. the horns of Mulgore will be sounded, this will be "felt" more than heard. Your character will be beckoned back to their ancestral land of Mulgore and they can heed it if they wish. Once at Mulgore we will gather at Bloodhoof village where introductions will be held and a meeting of what the Circle is and what it stands for. From there a promise will be made and the terms of joining will be explained.
Now the fun begins. The Rite of the Hunt will be a gather/hunt event where you will be given a "checklist/shopping list". You will need to use knowledge of your ancestral lands and other means to find, hunt and collect the items required. The items will be scattered throughout Mulgore and you must bring them all back to Bloodhoof village. This will seal the deal so to speak and from there a gathering/ritual will be held making you an honorary member of the Circle.
For this to work we will be using the GHI (Gryphonheart items) addon. We will need some volunteers with the addon to -be- the item. For example one volunteer will be a "Small kodo horn". They will then go to where the Kodo graze and wait for the hunters to approach them. Once one has found the volunteer they will emote them and the item will be traded via GHI. We where planning on having maybe 4-6 items ranging from a Bramble thorn (near camp narache bristleboar brambles) to a deep lake kelp (in the Bloodhoof village lake). Once all GHI have been collected they will return to the Village.
Please post any comments here or in /taurenrp. Alternatively a PM can be sent on these forums or a whisper in game. Questions, suggestions or a volunteer proposal.
I would greatly appreciate volunteers for this so it may run smoothly and give a nice successful kick off for the Shu'halo Mesa Circle. A low level character is fine.
I hope to see you all there, thankyou for reading!

Also a suggestion on how this could be done without volunteers but still have specific locations for the items would be awesome!

If need be, I can be a volunteer for whatever use you may have. If it needs to be a tauren, I have a level 49 druid for the job as well. All in all, this sounds like a great initiative!
Re: The Rite of the Hunt (Shu'halo Mesa Circle intro event)
The volunteers can be anything but must be Horde. What the volunteer must do is "act" as the item they hold. So if it a Kodo horn you must walk where the Kodos are. If you are a deep cave earthroot you must find a cave and twiddle your thumbs until the tauren find you, you then trade the said item to them. Once all have your item you are free to do as you wish. If you wish to participate on your tauren by all means this can main priority and you can volunteer if we need more volunteers when the time comes. Hope this explains the roles better.

Hey Thal, Veranax here. NExt Friday Veranax will be going Alliance and Kodash will become a Shu'halo so I don't wanna have Veranax take part in the event diredctly as in actually hunting. So I will gladly Volunteer on him as an item. Hit me up in game if you need anything more bud.
Actually. I have 2 accounts. Meaning I can fill in position of 2 Volunteers if you need it
P.S. Brilliant idea for an opening event kudos... (Or rather Kodos hurr hurr) to the idea.

Re: The Rite of the Hunt (Shu'halo Mesa Circle intro event)
Thanks Alth, I'll be a volunteer also. I am thinking of "prizes" for people partaking in in, what does everyone think? Any suggestions what they could be perhaps? Should they be IC or OOC prizes?
Also the idea of the hunt is to gather materials to create the totems used in a ritual needed to join the Circle. Allowing them to communicate IC from far distances. For example a gchat will be used for this -or- a separate channel with a password that will be given out once completed.
