A self healing tank or a healer might be able to solo some mobs, but a dps, I find that unlikely.

I've also had npc's that constantly cc your companion :3

This is very much true in levels beyond 25. Elites and more than 1 "Strong" enemy at a time will murder you, devour your carcass and poop you back out to fertilize their crops before you know what the fuck. And you're sure as hell not getting through the class story segments without one either.

On the bright side, the companions come in a wide variety of tastes so by the end you're somewhat less sick of them... Unless you play a Tank, in which case you'll be stuck forever with your designated Healer companion, like I am <_<

yeah you do need it, just like you did in KOTOR. They are a necessity wich is another thing making me bored seeing everyone running around with the same companion is me! They need more than 3 skins to choose! I'm now thinking to rerolling my Sentinel into a Guardian.

Some of em ain't faces, depends. If they're a humanoid you can equip shit on, it'll be faces but, if it's a jawa for example... that you can't see your gear on, the change is pretty substantial. You can give them a massive back pack which makes it look like they're carrying all your stuff, it's cute :3

Also, I have full pvp tier 2 gear, which is infact, better for PVE than the gear you can get from raiding, and the hard mode version of the raid isn't even finished (bosses don't attack, and are called "Boss 1, Boss 2"), so I've completed the game. q_q

You could basically make yourself immune to elite mobs by typing /getdown while they would cast an ability, which bugged them out and prevented them from doing anything.

Guardian can be painful to level. Around level 30-37 or so iirc I had to blow every single cooldown on elite mobs and still need some luck to take them out, until I got the healer companion which made it a lot easier. Still at 43 I can't go rushing around killing everything, 2 strong units will rape me if I'm not careful for example. Dunno if it's the same for other classes tho but I doubt it.

Woaah, just looking through some SWTOR stuff and discovered that Ravan is confirmed to be in the game. How could that be so? 300sonething year old Ravan :-/

Revan became a prisoner of the Emperor after he left in KotOR 1, who used some mindlink sorcery to feed off of him/learn his secrets and inadvertedly also keep him alive for all this time.
He escapes the Emperor around the time of tOR, flees to another Starforge (apparently there's multiple now) and prepares to make a giant droid army to overrun the Empire - at which point a group of 5 level ~40 schmups run in and kill both him and HK-49.

It was a fairly epic instance though.
