Uthers Pilgrimage
Uthers Pilgrimage
Date: Thursday 18th August at seven bells ((19.00 server time))
Where: Cathedral stairs
Duration: About three hours
It is once again time for this yearly tradition, where we march from the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind to Uthers Tomb in Western Plaguelands where a speach will be held by Priestess Shariah and when we remember and honour Uther and his ideals.
It is a test pf patience, endurance and more so your faith, will you be able to walk all the way in this effort of peace? Everyone of the alliance is welcome to join as long as they follow the rules.
- No mounts are allowed, we will walk all the way
- This is a march of peace and we shall not attack or harm others along the way unless it's in self-defense.
- March in order and do not run ahead
This will be the fith year in a row we make this march, so in the name of the Light I hope to see many good-hearted men and woman at the cathedral stairs, ready to make this honourable journey.

For this i'll dig up and dust off a good character of mine.
Edited - P.s.: Will there be a calendar invite? I wouldn't want to forget about it.

We had people who were level 10 or lower doing the trip! Also it's not just for humansm some followed due to cultural interest in other races or such.

Re: Uthers Pilgrimage
Have you noticed that this is the day before the final battle in the Path of Conquest event, so that means that many people who would normally take part in the Pilgrimage, including the Disciples of Light, won't be able to attend this event.
Even if the Path of Conquest finishes early, it would be good if this event could be moved later in the evening. It's entirely personal but this is my favourite event of the year, and 1900 is way too early for me as that's 1800 in the UK and I am sure I am not the only person who doesn't get home from work until after that.

I did check the event calender here on the forums and then I also checked Gnash thread about those battles and almost every day was taken but 18th of August was free according to his calendar, is it changed?
Regarding the time, I will see if it can be moved forward one hour, it is hard to please everyone as we are in different time zones and the event will at least take three hours, so it cannot start to late either but I see what I can do

Re: Uthers Pilgrimage
While there is no battle on the 18th August, the last battle is not until 19th, so IC the Disciples will still be on campaign, as will a number of other guilds. Those on campaign are faced with the choice of attending OOC, and there doesn't seem much point in attending this kind of event OOC, or deserting.

I agree. This is a tradition I love, which is why I am hoping something changes to allow me to be there. I have been on the last three and don't want to miss one.

I agree but I would attend both events anyway...Valestrion wrote:While there is no battle on the 18th August, the last battle is not until 19th, so IC the Disciples will still be on campaign, as will a number of other guilds. I know it can't be justified as "good RP" but it would mean missing good fun if I didn't. Not allowing ourselves to bend some rules in cases like these would make the longer campaigns a real drag since they would lock you out of so many other things.

Bumping this as reminder!!
I will try to be there on time, but I fear I might be a bit late. :S
Maelmoor, I was told there will be some speeches held. Is there room for another? Would you permit me to prepare a speech or a song?
