Elenoza and Eledeza story, part I

Elenoza and Eledeza story Wowscr13

It was a pale morning of spring. The clouds had invaded the new city and the building arose out of the fog, giving to the landscape something unreal. Two young ladies stand at the entrance of the Temple. They were graceful in the simple novice dresses they wore for this occasion. They had a pale complexion, a timid glance that they didn’t dare to walk around, and soft immobile face. It was impossible to differency them as they were alike two water drop. They were holding each other by the hand, like they were afraid to be separated and needed to stick together. A nervous shiver shacked their spin. They were waiting…
From inside the Temple of Elune, freshly build on top of the new World Trees, an animated discussion was heard. Several females and a male were arguing with passion and anger. Time to time some words were yelled and the two Kaldorei started to understood that their dream to finally quit their aunt house and join the Sister of Elune ranks would never been granted.

Two centuries before, deep in the purple forest, land of the Kaldorei, a huntress stopped her walk and sat under a venerable tree. The ground was covered by a sweet moss and tender flowers. She arranged the herbs into a comfortable bed, and let herself to the pain which invaded her. The moon was shinning and her silver light penetrated the forest through the eternal foliage. A first daughter born, and celebrating the night which welcomed her, the huntress named her Elenoza. The second daughter born when the morning enlighted the wood with gold, and in honour of the day light, she had been called Eledeza.
The first years, the two girls had been rose up in the warm of a hearty home lost in the dark forest. Their father, a young druid, had as much wildness in his heart than their mother. He had an independent and lonely temper, preferring his animal form than his elfish figure. And he watched over his lineage with the amber eyes of the feline. Their mother was careful and joyful, playing with her daughter in the depth of the woods, teaching them the secret of the luxuriant nature surrounding them. A decade or two happened in this quiet happiness. And then the drama charged them as the falcon on its prey.

As many others druid, Elenoza and Eledeza’s father choose to sacrifice his life and freedom, and joined his beings in the Emerald Dream.
That day was sad. The wind carried leaves on its wings, and blew through the trees in a lonely and melancholic song. The girls cried their good bye. At this time, they didn’t had enclosed their emotions in the secret of their hearts yet. Their mother was defeated. She didn’t had the courage to watch her beloved going, and she left the scene on a sudden, without paying attention to anyone, even not her children. And she disappeared…

Her sorrow was so terrible, that she tried to let herself dying somewhere in the darkest part of the forest, where her husband and her used to spent time alone. But Nature is not so fragile, and an amazing instinct rised in herself. She became savage, and wild. Eating sometimes the fresh flesh of animals killed by her own fang and claw. She started to grind in the woods, sneaking, discreet, silent. She was alike a panther, soft and violent, invisible and terrible. She finished to forget she had been an elf once, and continued her path as an animal.
One day, as she walked by the foggy shore, she saw a big ship coming from beyond the seas, and on this ship there was a man. He was handsome, fierce, strong. He had a white open shirt, long leather boots, a large belt and a sword and long pale red hair floating in the breeze. He had strange uses and a behaviour she had never saw before. His voice was clear and loud, covering the yells of the sailor under his command. He was charismatic, and she was fascinated…

Elenoza and Eledeza story, part II

Elenoza and Eledeza story Wowscr15

She walked by the shore more often. Hided in the bushes, she was observing his every move. She let herself unnoticed during a long time. She was a Kaldorei after all, she was patient. But days after days, she showed less prudence. She advanced closer and closer, till she could smell clearly his odour. For an unknown reason, she was terribly attracted by him. She started to wish being discovered.
This happened the day after. She was walking so close him that he could feel her presence. Probably afraid of being the target of a dark magician able to disappear in the shadows, he used an old trick by reversing some flour around him. It’s how she appeared, under her feral form, with her dark purple fur spotted of white.
The man was surprised. He never had seen along his travels such a feline. He was found of animals, and immediately tried to tame her. She purred under his caress. She let herself being seduced. More and more… She stayed with him day and night, watching over his sleep, protecting him when he was exploring the wild forest. This improbable duo amused the sailors, amazed the lieutenants. And he was proud of walking by such an impressive panther.
One night, she jumped on his bed and lay at his feet, like a cat or a dog would have done. He noticed this with an amused smile, fold over his legs to let her space and fall asleep. The morrow, when he woke up, he found instead of the feline the most gracious feminine figure he had never saw. He instantly felt a strong passion invading his soul and he desired more than anything else make her heart his own.

The new of the Captain falling in love with one of those wild Night Elves jumped from one mouth to one ear with the speed of the day light. And this new fast arrived to the Kaldorei established in Ashenvale.
After the fugue of their mother, Elenoza and Eledeza Whitestar had been accommodated by an old and severe aunt. The ancient priestess was still living like in old time, regretting with bitterness the lost splendour of the Elvish nation. She was strict and demanding. She had high expectation from their nieces and started to educate them with the rigour needed for young ladies of their ranks. She designed the twins to the Sisters of Elune organisation.
When the rumour of their mother running away with a human, captain of a commercial ship arrived to her, she toke it almost as a personal offence. Her slanderous tong didn’t run dry of criticisms about the dishonourable Kaldorei which ashamed her nation by such a shocking behaviour.
To avoid her pupils to follow the same shameful path, she restricted their freedom to almost nothing, and reinforced her discipline. The two sisters were prisoners of a gloomy old mansion, seeing of the forest surrounding them only the few trees growing in the courtyard.

Their unhappiness was immense, and not a day happened without them dreaming about their father waking up and takes them away from their gaol. Or sometimes even, they tried to imagine how a human captain could look like, and they prayed to see him and his band of sailor besieged the mansion, and rescuing them from this desperate life. But years passed, and nothing happened. All days were similar bringing to them pettiness, discipline, humiliations … their father never wake up, and their mother had been seen in Stormwind a human city beyond the seas, she seemed to have forgotten her past life.
And more the years passed, the only issue the twin saw was the promise of being a Sister of Elune. They grasped this last hope with the despair’s energy, and to achieve that, they were resolved to go through the hardest sacrifices.

They were holding each other by the hand, waiting in the pale morning. Their last hope just broke up, and they felt their hearts broken aswell. The old priestess, hangman of their life, ran out of the Temple in a fury. She yelled to the twin to follow her, that their projects were ruined by the shameful decision taken by the Sisters of Elune. They had accepted males among their rank, and the rumour of having a human priest had been heard. Never the proud Kaldorei would let her nieces lose their virtue inside the Temple of Elune itself! Better to enclose them for ever in the mansion than take the risk of seeing them dishonoured.
Tears filling their eyes, the sisters looked at each other with an agreed glance. It was time to take their destiny in hand.

Escape, part I (wrote by Elenoza)

Elenoza and Eledeza story Wowscr19

-"Ssssh, she's making another pass!". Eledeza was about to bolt across the open space of the courtyard, but was held back by a hand grasping the fabric of her dress.
Her sister gave a distressed look, gesturing towards the approaching guard.
"Atleast the dress is good for something", whispered Elenoza. "If she'd spotted us, we'd be back behind the walls before sunrise!"
Elenoza and Eledeza were hiding behind a tall coarse-cut marble pillar in a large courtyard, surrounded by the tall, white walls of the temple. They were cold, shivering slightly in the cold air. Their plan had been to escape the city, to try and reach freedom by sneaking through the main district, but were gradually starting to discover how poor their escape plan was.

Elenoza had a sudden outburst, "I told you we should've followed the riverbank - to escape through the city itself is madness! If they discover us, we'll not only..." and her voice cut, as her sister had grabbed a tight hold of her gown, and taken the opportunity to make a run for the other side.
"Come on sister, we still need to pass the main gate to get out, and time is short!" Eledeza panted, her lungs burning by the sudden intake of the crisp, cold morning air.

They were quickly running out of time, the dawn was already sending it's first crimson rays across the topmost temple pillars, giving them the appearance of giant torches. They both knew their slim chance to be free would be all but lost once those rays touched ground.
The two elves were both dressed in traveller's clothes, or rather the closest thing to traveller's clothing they could find - they had not had the time to properly prepare. They both regretted not having been more ready for this - they had taken the opportunity to escape as it showed up, when their aunt had fallen asleep after a glass of wine. They had escaped their aunt's considerable mansion during first light, and were getting close to the city periphery. Now they had to find a way to escape the city wall, but time was against them, and scaling the massive walls was no task they were skilled for. The night shift sentinel guard was starting to get drowsy, but they were still Kaldorei sentinel, and would certainly keep a close eye on any movement out of the ordinary.

Suddenly, Elenoza's eyes darkened. "I have an idea... and you're not going to like it."

Escape - part 2(writen by Elenoza)

Many, many years ago, one night, the twin sisters had been tasked by their aunt to clean and tidy the whole mansion, while she herself attended sermon in the temple.
The mansion was a massive marble estate, with two floors, and dozens of rooms and chambers. Typically she would let the servants clean - but the twins had been rather unruly as of late, and she had decided to set an example to discipline them.
The twins had been furious - they had a virtually endless amount of cold stone to clean, and only one single night to do it. They had not dared object, however - their aunt had absolutely no tolerance for disobedience.

So they toiled. All night they scrubbed and cleaned, but the two young girls alone would never be able to finish such a job in one single night. And so it was, when their aunt finally came home after the night's sermons, the poor girls had fallen asleep, completely exhausted, their hands raw and bodies aching from the effort.
They had only managed to clean the eastern wing - there was still both the west wing and the grand hall to be done. Without saying a single word, she strode right up to the twins, who were both sleeping too deeply to take notice.
She was furious. In her old, jaded mind she decided that it was time to teach the twins some discipline, once and for all. She clenched both her fists, spoke a few unintelligible words, and opened her palms again.
A dark purple haze started drifting from her hands and eyes, forming thin lines through the air. Like snakes, the smoky tendrils floated through the air, from the old elf towards the two sleeping young.
The dark smoke held for a bit, floating silently over the two, almost as if deciding who to choose - finally they glided down to Elenoza, slowly coiling around and enveloping the sleeping girl's head. She had cast a spell strictly forbidden, one that was taught to all priestesses only as an example of how dark even the path of the priest could be - mind control.

For the rest of the morning and day and almost until the night after, Eledeza was crying hysterically, watching her sister mechanically clean the rest of the house, going from room to room in a trance-like state, her eyes the same dark purple as the smoky tendrils floating from their aunt's hands and eyes.
Finally, when the mansion had been completely cleaned, she had let go. There had been almost a full week before Elenoza had woken up afterwards, and almost a full moon before she had spoken again.

Escape - part III(writen by Elenoza)

"What..! You cannot.. no. I can't let you do that, what if something goes wrong?" Eledeza said with a hint of panic in her voice. Her eyes were wide open and had already started glistening, scared by the proposal at hand.
"I don't like this any more than you do.. I still remember..." Elenoza said, taking her sister's hands and looking down at the ground. She then raised her eyes again, meeting Eledeza's scared eyes with her own, and with more than just a little shiver in her voice, said: "..but there doesn't seem to be any other way. It will only last a short while, the guard will probably not even remember anything.. and then we will be free". And so, overcoming their disgusted feeling about what they were about to do, they silently agreed.

Elenoza closed her eyes, balled her fists and started mumbling. With a jerk, she opened her eyes, which were now glowing a dark purple. Coils of smoke were rising from both her eyes and now open palms, floating aimlessly for a second before suddenly shooting towards one of the sentinel guarding the gate. As the smoke reached it's destination, it started swirling around the sentinel's head, forcing itself into her eyes and ears.
The guard jerked spastically for a moment, before she snapped into a straight stance, as if she was a marionette where all the strings had been pulled downward. The guard screamed a shrill howl, whirled around, and started running away from the open city gate along the wall.
Her fellow sentinel, now suddenly wide awake with surprise, immediately pursued - leaving both their respective guard posts, and more importantly, the city gate unattended.

Elenoza snapped out of her trance, the dark smoke dissipating into nothingness, and immediately parted with her last meal.
Still on her knees clutching her abdomen, she looked up towards her sister's worried face, and steeled herself. Without saying a word, they nodded in agreement and started running. At first, they both felt scared - maybe another guard would spot them? However as they crossed the main courtyard and passed the massive walls, they threw a quick glance to their right.
Six, maybe seven sentinel were standing around their passed out colleague, some bending down to examine her. None of them had the clarity to watch their posts. And so it was that the two sisters were scrambling away from the city wall, and running towards the edge of the forest nearby. They were no longer scared, and suddenly they both started laughing wildly, stricken by the sudden feeling of a freedom they had never before felt.

After a while they were in a small clearing in the forest, the city walls far gone behind them. They were breathing heavily, both from the sprint and their laughing - both of them lying on their backs in the grass which was glistening with dew from the morning fog. They were surrounded by the smell of grass and trees, and the sound of wind rustling the massive branches above - the forest was slowly waking up all around them, some creatures getting ready for the day ahead while others were going back to rest after nightly escapades.
The two sisters felt a feeling they had never before known - the feeling of the unknown. All their lives, each day had been the same rigorous routine as the last, only surviving but never really living. Suddenly the whole world was open to them, and they had no clue where to start. And it felt so good!
