Perhaps the two could be driven together on that particular night. Extra staff or so. Could be huge!

There is also that little event called Ironforge Senate, each thursday at eight bell. A event that has been around a heck of a lot longer than some Jewel.

This exactly, it's the hypocrisy in this thread that buggs me.

My suggestion is merely that if people are interested, they could try to co-do something, so that those peeved that they have to make a choice don't have to.
There's no cry for this day being reserved, so no worries.

I just felt it was prudent to warn you to be very careful about this. Blizzard does not tolerate gambling at all ingame. IC or not. If no items or money are transfered or if the customers aren't at risk of losing anything you are in the clear I think...

I'm not saying there will be a problem. Just that there's a risk... however small.

Indeed, that is what we did with the Cartels gambling nights, and also at the Serpent

and don't forget, for some people, its just not prudent for them to turn up for the jewel events anyway. I only have one character who is actually.. respected and legal enough? to actually turn up there, all the others are either a bit too "common" to join in.

Ragrding the clash, there really wasn't another night we could do it in due to other events we have arranged at the moment.

I honestly don't know that it'll really impact the Jewel event too much, either, they might be both pub/bad events but with very different audiences- we're talking a rough-around-the-edges merc bar having a night of gambling and liquor rather than a classy/refined high society shindig.

That said, we obviously don't particularly intend to step on toes/piss people off- some sort of mix, if feasible, would be fun, I think. Also- it's just one night, if it's a success like the tournament was, we'll run it more often and be sure that doesn't conflict with the Jewel on a regular basis.

Tl;dr: different target audience than the Jewel, up for arranging a co-op of some kind, and if we do it again in future we'll do it on a non-clashing night.

Love this idea and I truly hope I can manage to be on to be there! Big Kudo's for creating events that is possible for anyone to attend too^^
