[A] Tournament - King of the Steel Boot

Location's yet to be finalised and will be confirmed closer to the event, the rest of the details are more or less as above, a no-holds-barred winner-takes-all tournament.

To keep things moving at the event itself, we're considering having some sort of limit on number of emotes per fight or a /roll system after a certain number of emotes, to make sure anyone that wants to, gets their chance to fight and it doesn't end up in stalemates. Any suggestions are more than welcome.

Anyone interested in taking part, wanting more details, or wishing to involve their guild in some way, give either myself, Karlak, Humphry, Astraeá or Mallen a prod in game.

And yeah, you definitely need to limit it somehow so fights are finished quickish, maybe a time limit or something? though that could make a lot of draws, unless you did it like boxing and had judges.

But yeah, emote fights can go on forever when you get two people refusing to lose and having /e fought a lot of these people who will -not- lose, im sure you will get some at event, plus emote fights that go on forever are boring to watch, if it was quick paced action it would be a lot more exiting xD All depends on the number of entries too i suppose, if only a few then fights can be longer i guess.

Are weapons allowed or will this be bare knuckle stuff? What about magic etc? Could get a bit complicated with magic though i suppose *shrugs*

Aaaanyways, if you need any guard presence to keep the peace or whatever, let me know (thats it its in Stormwind or the surrounding lands of course), though being the mercs that you guys are you probs might not, but if ye do we're here

Any/all weapons are allowed, so hopefully we can get some interesting pairings set up.

Regarding the eternal problem of /e fights we were playing with the idea of best of three rolls, so long as people didn't complain too much, to a. keep things quick and b.make sure there's a defined limit/end point.

So something like- Bob and Sue are paired to fight. On the first round, let's say Bob /rolls 20 Sue rolls 50, so they both do their emotes, Sue's coming out as more effective/hardhitting. In the second roll Bob wins, so he magages to strike back at Sue, but on the third she wins again, with a major hit that forces him to yeild.

Along those lines, anyway, we're not 100% decided. And yeah Ezl the Cartel fistfights have given us the main inspiration for this kind o f idea of system . People are never willing to yield unless somehow poked into doing so (because every character is somehow the biggest toughest fastest etc etc), it's very frustrating.

We have a winner of our first King of the Steel Boot tournament!

Marijn beating Chadel in a tense and epic final fight!

Marijn took home the pot of fifty gold coins making himself a very very wealthy man.

This was followed with an eight way free for all from the loser bracket to win the remaining ten gold in the pot. Which was won by none other than Elnaria, smashing her way through multiple opponents. Although honourable mention to Glenroy, taking down two opponents before failing hard.

I hope everyone enjoyed the event, there will be a second tournament. So keep your eyes open and your calenders ready

Gutted I missed it. Was stuck in a car with Tarvik, the horrer! Gen will be sure to be there next time with her loyal champion in toe. He's hungry for more blood since his duel with the Chapter's champion.
