Fail GM is Fail?

This was a pleasant conversation I had with a GM after I made a ticket asking what would be the real name of Moira's Son. As in some places he is mentioned as Dagran (named after his father) and in other places as Fenran.

In my eyes, up until the hybrid stuff, he is somewhat correct - history is wrote by the victors. Ofcourse, with her son still being alive and every Dwarf in Azeroth knowing about him/her, that's irrelevant... Still, leave the GM alone! D: He doesn't know - he doesn't roleplay!

They have to handle the tickets in the order they were made, so they can't skip or pick and choose as they like.
They can also only pass on tickets (escalate) if they don't have the training or rights to solve the issue, or if there's a department or specialist group assigned to handle the ticket in question.
While we'll all love to have Metzen and his good friend Mr. Daniels answer lore tickets, I think he's busy being decadent and filthy rich :>

Best quote ever. Also for the record, most GM's wont give a shit about the lore unless the avidly play the game themselves. (in a RP capacity or are just interested anyways)

Fact Incoming: Not all GM's are infact Gamers, let alone playing warcraft. It's a job, pretty much like working in a call center. You don't give a shit about how Comet or Homebase developed thier products over time, you just care that you have to ring god knows how many poeple and sell them some shit. Relate that to tickets and hey presto, you have community support.

I love his justification though and for trying dispite the fact he didn't have a clue. Not his fault but throwing the Mayan's as an analogy had me laughing XD

That said, it really does prove they're not just doom trained quasi human android things that say no when I report names. Good on him for being a human being I guess.

GM's that are supposed to reply lore questions represent Blizzared. He wasn't disrespectful. He was frustrated and rightfully so. If anything, he was lenient to the GM. Should've told him he's an ignorant idiot and request another GM.

However, the GM did say something right. "There's no facts, it's all created as required, and constantly changes to fit circumstances". That's what people have to understand, when they qq about changing lore.

....still, that doesn't really refer to Moira's son's name, he should've cleared that up. Or let another GM handle the ticket. Seriously. >.> Patronizing is what most GM's do, not customer service. Gladly, lately I've bumped into good GM's. But I still remember the ones before, too.

Summing up, no it wasn't "disrespectful" of Girloy. It was disrespectful of the GM, who gets his salary from Girloy, to patronize him. It'd be like hiring a warehouse supervisor who can't schedule a single supply order but instead tells you "but i make good coffee!!". In other words: retarded.
