Orthur's Ceremony for the Wedding of Morty Amott and Nilda Meyrick.

Everyone gathered! I welcome ye te the weddin' o' Morty Amott and Nilda Meyrick; a couple tha've grown close te meself an' me kinfolk in te last wartorn years. Tis an honour an' a pride fer me te perform this Weddin' Ceremony as per request o' te blushin' bride.

Alas as much as I would like te quote te Scrolls o' Old an' present te two te Suxen as one, I kno' faith lies elsewhere, an' thus I respect tha', as should ye all. Bu' it is ever so obvious, tha' in these troubled times, Faith pushes us through.

I kno' not one hundred percent wha' te two present fully believe, if anythin' at all, bu' I kno' that they look to eachother wit' te same adoration tha' we look to our Ancestors with. They take faith in eachother, as we take faith in our forefathers an' it is this faith in eachother tha' We honour teday.

For et is Love tha' brings us te glory. Love tha' spawns from our Faith an' et is Love tha' these two present share as they spend day in, day out tegether facin' te evil of te world. Just like we face it, day in and day out.

Et is te Love o' our Ancestors, Love o' our Family an' Love o' our Spouse tha' keeps us fighting.

An' wha' is te Holy Ligh' more encapsulated in but Love? Naythin'. Fer as Foalian Virtue teaches, Respect, Tenacity an' Compassion, et also teaches Love; alike Arathorian Scripture. Te 'Oly Ligh' presents us wit' te chance te forgive an' forget, te Heal an' te purge Evil such as Undead an' Demons. Te 'Oly Ligh' -loves- humanity, lik' Suxen does, as 'E looks down on his Children, smiling at our relentless attacks on Phelgas' Iladora.


Bu' I digress. I am not 'ere te preach. I am 'ere te look at two o' my friends, my family even if et's not in blood an' allow them in te presence o' ye all, te proclaim their Love fer one another publicly an' present themselves as Man an' Wife. Fer there is nay stronger bond than It.

Before I let te lovebirds speak fer themselves however, I'd like te mark te occasion wit' a poem tha' I wrote specially.

Orthur coughs, clearing his voice

As te world turns black,
Darkened by te beast.
An' as te Halls above, feast,
Enjoyin' te show, te attack.
Busy settin' up yer table,
Tha' ye thought a fable,
In te Ligh'ened 'All.

Bu' down below,
Back te back ye battle.
Performin' te show,
In an Army like cattle.
Swords as sharp as yer nails,
Te back each other up, if on' o' ye fails.
In te bloodied Field.

An' back at home,
Tendin' te each other's wounds.
Delighted tha' yer not now, alone,
Te face a life o' perpetual dooms.
Ye look into each other's eyes,
Grant each other those familiar sighs.
In te matrimonial bed.

Fer in years te come,
Runnin' around yer feet.
Yer daughter, or yer son,
Makin' ye realise why defeat
Wasn't an option, nor was there a chance,
Tha' yer sword wouldn't strike true, o' yer axe o' yer lance.
In te Northern Wars.

Fer Love shines through,
An' evil doth perish.
An' in te presence o' te Ligh',
O' te Ancestral Faith,
We stand 'ere teday,
Lookin' te te Heavens,
Te recognise these two,
As One.
