Not all characters are beautiful. My belf is explicitly stated as not beautiful. Sure, I describe(described?) her as a stern handsome since I liked it better.
Muzjhath has also become almost downright ugly due to horrible burns. And she wasn't the best looker to start with.

So no, not everyone is it. Just that many people want to be beautiful, so they tend to RPit.

Yrn is not that pretty. But it's hard to find a decent picture of a not-so-decent looking actress. And this is our fantasy world, of course we are going to fail at making it look like real life.

I never understand why people get so fussy about the term beautiful. From an arty-farty point of view, people actually -do- have different opinions on what beauty is, and most of the time people just agree a celebrity or an actor is ' pretty ' because someone else believes them to be.

I don't think anyone is quite right for the job, but perhaps Linda Hamilton as far as looks go atleast.
She should be more muscular though.

As for Faralan, I honestly can't say I can think of an actor that'd fit him.
I know Eloresh thinks Jason Mamoah (?) That new Conan fellow, is Faralan.
