Help wanted: Forum e-mailing me

I risk making a complete fool out of myself here so disclaimer: I'm not a very computer savvy person.

But here it goes. I keep having the forum e-mail me about topics being replied even though I have the option: "Always notify me of replies" set to "No" in my profile menu > preferences. Is there another place I have to tag to disable this? What am I doing wrong?

Again sorry if my question is painfuly obvious, any mod should feel free to delete this message and PM me the answer if they wish to.

There is a similar option when you create threads, if you scroll down in the thread creation page. Might be what is causing it.

I just flagged one email as junk mail and then future ones just go to my junk box thing now

I tried the junk thing, but it sends all my pm notifications there as well. The forum doesn't email me anymore, but I have no idea how I sorted it >>' It was a while ago.

It seems very inconsistent. For example, I havn't received a single e-mail about replies in this thread. I noticed that there's an option in your profile menu named: "Topics being watched". I deleted every single one of them out of there. Let's see if this changes anything.

I don't want to flag defiasrp.com as junkmail to avoid password changing e-mails and such getting lost :/ But if there's no other option..

Nithel, try going into your profile, and look under "Topics beeing watched" since if there is any there it might for some reason go through the other preferences.

I have indeed deleted every single topic that stood under "Topics being watched" in the profile menu. The mails have stopped coming for now. So let's hope this fixes it.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem. Maybe this is worth mentioning somewhere how to stop it.

The forum admin should be able to set "add topics replied to as watched", or something like that, to off as default for all members somewhere in the control panel.
