The gospels of hate and hypocrisy.

Posters carrying the following messages can be found in each and every Blood Elven settlement, including Silvermoon itself. As usual they are written in Thalassian.

Fellow sin’dorei, fellow countrymen,

Our glorious kingdom has been threatened in the past. Not because we sought to dominate others, not because we were preparing for war, no! Not even because we held lands our foes envied! We were threatened as a nation with war, and as a people with extinction because of the nature of our culture! Because we hold true to the values of our ancestors, because we make use of the arcane!

Do you remember the threats coming from the dark forests in Kalimdor? Do you remember the kaldorei saying that we would be exterminated if we did not change our way of life? If we did not change our culture? Do you remember the insults and the arrogance? I remember these things all too well! I know too that these kaldorei were put in their place when we lashed out at them but that they never gave up on their plans.

Look at them now, their forests burn, their cities are turned to rubble, their elders lay dead on the ground. Look then to the burning hatred in their eyes when they see one of us, because of who we are. Because of our culture. They preached their gospel of hate, and they still believe these things. But look at their society now. As I said their civilization is falling apart, and look where they turn: The shen’dralar.

The Shen’dralar are our ancestors’ brothers. They wield the arcane and now, with the kaldorei desperate they have embraced them. They have brought them into their perverted capital of Darnassus. Their sentinels stand alongside them! They have brought that which they saw as a reason to exterminate us for into their lands! Their leaders have embraced them as long lost brothers and sisters! Yet they still preach their gospel of hate against us. They still scream for the destruction of our kingdom, for the deaths of our children as they stand in the ruins of their cities. As they stand there, alongside the Shen’dralar.

Instead of only preaching their gospel of hate, they now preach a gospel of hypocrisy too! They have abandoned their practices because the times are tough. They, unlike us, have abandoned the principles of ten thousand years ago. They are traitors to their traditions, traitors to their own word, traitors to their principle. It is now for all to see the hypocrisy of the kaldorei! They preach our destruction while they bring the Shen’dralar, wielders of the arcane, into their cities!

Let us pray that we, the proud sin’dorei, never betray our ancestors and our traditions like the kaldorei betrayed their ancestors and their traditions! Let us vow that we shall not betray these things like the blind and weak-minded kaldorei have!

Actually, I didn't when you put this into context. It's Cerr picking up on her old "Death to the Nelves because they want to exterminate us" line from.. June or so. She just adds into this: "Look, they're hypocrites too." ...just to kick em while they're down.

If you refer to the Shen'dralar.. Well, they never did do anything wrong up till now but it was mostly aimed at the normal Nelves.

They joined the horde, with different trolls than the ones they had been fighting before, and their old allies who just are a little sick.

Because sticking with the Humans who had a little man called Garithos, the Dwarves with whom they Elves have always had such a loving relationship and the High Elves was more logical than getting more cozy with the former humans of Lordaeron being lead by the former ranger-general of Quel'Thalas who gave her life for the kingdom?
