Mine is Sword Bretheren Gerhart from the Black Templars, the protagonist of the series "Damnation Crusade" by Dan Albeit, a brilliant set of comics and books which describe his life before joining the AA - after joining it and the trials he goes through - and his afterlife when he is placed within the shell of a Drednaught.

Becouse Nazis were inspired and ripped off Roman symbols and whatnot, to mark their own forthcoming 1000 year lasting Reich.

Because symbols is what we "store" our unity in, "summoning" their power, throughout History, throughout civilizations, throughout any and ever social structure ever to appear on the face of this earth Smile

If you dig up enough, you'll discover your well-known "swastika" is no more than an ancient symbol, with its origin lost in time. It's found in sanscritic texts (the word is sanscritic too, I think), ancient greek (tetra-gammadion), ancient Hinduism... so many places it's not even funny. It's not a "nazi symbol" at all.

Hitler's NaZis "borrowed" it and ever since, the world "met" it with a different eye. He just wanted "symbols" and "uniformity". That's all there is to the so hated swastika. Seen under the prism of Nazism, it can cause a riot. But seen under the prism of history... it's not really the symbol's fault, what man did with it, is it? Wink

My avatar is, well, a pretty simple photoshop of Sean Bean onto a piece of medieval-style armour. It's kinda what I imagine Merandil would look like as a "real" person, or at least what he would look like if Sean Bean portrayed him in "Defias Brotherhood - The Movie". Which would be sweeeeeet.

Bunch of layers added because I can, and because it looks a little better this way.
