You need to change your policy for guarding prisoners, make them -WANT- to stay in jail. A swing door and a buffet might help. *Nods sagely.*

As the leader of the Crimson Flame, a zealous Scarlet group that has multiple crimes against Stormwind, including butchering people inside the Cathedral, Barean was banished from the kingdom of Stormwind. He came back, got arrested, escaped, handed himself in.. and then apparently escaped again.
Needless to say, there's a pretty hefty reason to trial him :p

I thought he wanted the trial. It shant be held again.
I was led to understand that OOC Barean wanted the trial to go ahead. IC Barean wanted the trial to go ahead. And that IC some third party did not want the trial to go ahead so stole him away? Again...
It seems to me that us guards are awfully careless with our prisoners. Perhaps we should allow the Chapter of Holy Anethion to hold them in future? They seem very adept at holding people against their will! <3
Don't worry though, Geneviève and her dear dog will be patrolling Stormwind soon enough. Maybe he'll ruin another set of trousers and turn himself in like last time? We can but hope.

AS kind as it sounds, next time we won't go to the trouble of setting up a trial.

The only reason this man was allowed to escape was due to the fact of the Seal/Shield swap around at the garrison. With all the comotion going on they managed to hit the Shields before they could gain control of the Command Centre and get a decent amount of guards set up to patrol the area.
I can assure you if we get this man once more or any of his Crimson followers infact, they will be under heavy guard until the trials can go ahead.
Corporal Jinoti Quinn. Blazing Shield Infantry Number 26662.

As I said Jinoti, I don't blame anyone for it happening. I don't mind that it did. But no more trials will be offered to this particular individual.

That is fair. I think that the council can now see that this man should be caught and put to death as soon as possible.

Reason Chapter's prisoners do not escape, is because they are strapped to a torture-rack, are naked, and are denied all visitors. I doubt any prisoner deserves such treatment though. Oh, and all persistent visitors are -allowed- to visit, but are not allowed to leave...

Re: Trial of the Crimson Leader Barean Blackthorn
*walks in* May I suggest finding him guilty in absentia and sentencing him to death (for example)? It would be the logical IC thing to do if you haven't done so yet.
I'm not at all familiar with how things work in Stormwind, mind you. Yet I think that saying he can't have a trial in an OOC manner like what seems to be happening now would be a very bad thing. Assuming trials like these (Or trials in general) are common it'd be bad RP to say OOCly that because person A escaped to not to hold a trial at all.
Simply because someone says OOCly he wants a trial (or anything else) he is not obliged to do things his character would otherwise not do. If his character would escape if given the chance then he should try to escape when that opportunity occurs, no matter what he may or may not have said OOCly. Of course there are exceptions to this in my mind (but those have more to do with guild stability and avoiding widespread drama).
This is just me talking with no knowledge of what may or may not have happened in the past, mind you.

This man has been given more than a fair amount of chances with the council. It is only right now that him and his men be caught, taken into custody and put to death as quickly as possible.

I'm not arguing that he has not had more than a fair amount of chances with the council, I'm arguing for him to be found guilty in absentia which is a preferable outcome than simply OOCly denying him trial, hell, I'm not even saying it should be a fair trial. I'm just advocating keeping up appearances at the very least.

Once again my sweet, my love. You are correct. He was found guilty in absentia and sentenced to execution upon detaining as a Traitor against the Kingdom.

Pff, not really. I just like people who know things such as law and politics and incorporate them. Intelligence is difficult to come by.

That's nice to hear, I take that as a compliment. As a matter of fact, politics interests me greatly (but lets not get into that banned subject) and law, well let me put it this way, I intend to go to law school starting next year. So yeah

Well if he and his fellows come patrolling the barrens or Desolace (scarlets there, these days, why?) again, i'l be sure to give them a reason to run home.

Who was it offering the trial?
And who will not be offering anymore trials to this particular individual?
Just for some clarifications to anyone that might be reading this thread.

Trials aren't really offered IC, but OOC it was offered to Barean by the Justice Ministry. The trial technically was concluded in guilty. That is why they are not being offered again, he has been convicted.
