Yes she is in her legal right to do so. However considering all the creeps there is out there, one would have to ask one self, is it morally right to post the picture of a young child for totall strangers to see? Granting them the possibility of saving these pictures for whatever purpouse they might have.
Has the person in question, the child, been asked if they agree on making that picture of them a public material?

Yes I never said she isn't within her legal right to post that picture.
I suggested she shouldent, and as a mother, I hope she understands what I'm talking about.

My concern was for the child alone, I dont have a wish having to explain my self like this to some random wiseguy, but now I have.

Where I come from. It's the child that has to ask the parent for permission to display images of themselves on the internet, for example for a school website. Usually a permission form has to be signed until the person is 18 and allowed to do it themselves.
