Re: [OOC]
I imagine illumnia to be somewhere in the middle, leaning towards huge. Various districts but, travelable in a day or so by foot.
Think second-biggest capitals in countries, Manchester is a good example.
Generations exampled.

Re: [OOC]
Cain is the first Generation. Meaning the first vampire. He embraced three Vampires, those were the second generations. And those again embraced 13 in between them, those being the third Generation, and the founders of the Clans we have today.
Basically, your generation tells how many steps you are from Cain.
In modern time the Generation of Kindred is likely to span from 11th - 14th Generation. Those are the "newly embraced" so to speak. There are of course some that are older, but most of the -really- old guys are either sleeping or hiding in modern time.
But I digress... You can lower your generation through committing Diablerie on a Kindred of lower Generation than yourself, thus putting yourself one step closer to Cain.
For example, the Cappadocian I play in the Dark Ages campaign we're running started out as 7th Generation. She has Diablerized (is htat the right way to say that? xD ) herself up to 5th Generation.
I totally forgot what my point was supposed to be, but uhm... yeah.. hope it helps a little! xD

Re: [OOC]
I read up on disciplines and some of the clans, made my sheet. If no-one else has, I'll look into posting tomorrow. Or, later today. Depending on how you look at it. Although... That might end up being tomorrow, anyway.

Also, might wanna remeber it's polite to come to the owner of the hunting area before you feed . John's in the VIP basement, flash your fangs or glamor the bouncer.

Re: [OOC]
I have World of Darkness and Hunter for NWoD loitering around here. They double up as an awesome screen.
Oh yeah - how GMed is this going to be? Are we just going to interact freely with most/all npcs, for example?

Re: [OOC]
For the most part I'll be narrating when needed, playing toy NPCs when needed. For example, if you walk into the manor and speak to the bartender before my Toreador, i'll coin up some concept for a barkeeper.

Re: [OOC]
I reckon we can all puppeteer around with the NPCs as we see fit, within good reason. And if you have some bigger NPC action in mind (like, say, a werewolf attack or hunter squad or whatever), poke in the OOC thread to see if everyone's cool with it first.
Myself, I do want to GM at least some part of the storyline, but really, it's all about cooperation. If you have a good idea, let us know, and if people like it, by all means go ahead and do some GMing.

Re: [OOC]
Say, wouldn't this be more efficient to handle as an actual PnP game over irc or MSN, instead of being a forum based one?
Then again, I'm tempted to jump in even as it is.

Problem is, how would you handle the rolling of dices?
Re: [OOC]
Same as you'd deal with it on a forum, I guess.
Suppose that's more of a matter of participants.
1. Would have to be few (as we are now)
2. I'd say skype > msn, due to stability and much more room to type
3. Would have to all (or several) be online. Then again, we -could- create a group there, and have "active" whoever is online. Hm.
I don't know, really. I don't think I'd mind a skype version much.

Was the first result I could find on Google. I'm sure there are better ones.
And by arranging the sessions beforehand you can make sure as many as possible can make it.

Re: [OOC]
I'm completely inexperienced with dice rolling and would prefer not to do so.
Secondly forums over the chance to read previous posts from nights ago, and a stable log of events.

WoD as a system is very light on the use of dice.Edervic/Vectoria wrote:I'm completely inexperienced with dice rolling and would prefer not to do so.

The logs from each session could be posted here for later reference.
But yeah, it was only a suggestion. If everyone's not up for it then I don't see a reason to go that way.

Re: [OOC]
If everyone's really for it, then I'll do it sure. But I just feel far more comfortable if it was kept on the forum and with no dice rolls, just consideration of limitations and talents of charecters. For example, if my toon was cornered and no way out, sept for a fist fight with a psyhically stronger super natural. He's as good as dead.
