Concerning Cut-Throat Alley Empty Concerning Cut-Throat Alley

Post by avaiel Mon Feb 08, 2010 10:25 am

Hey everyone. I've recently set up a new guild, while not very active yet, we plan to be soon. So, I was wondering if anyone within the community were currently using Cut-Throat alley as a base of operations? Since it would be awkward to "claim" it and then discover someone else to have been using it actively.

As the guild leader I'm also interested in talking to the leaders of some of the guard guilds within stormwind, as my guild is a Mercenary guild, I'd like to know your disposition on this icly, and how we might cooperate / feud Icly in the future.

It hasn't been 'claimed', but it is regularly used as one of the few normal looking places, as people's homes and such.

Well I've been considering either Cut-Throat, because it's closer to the general Role-Play hub, or Lakeshire, since that zone seems mostly unoccupied.

Wasn't there someone wanting to host the area as a tavern? I remember someone seeking out Lilath for it not so long ago.

I'd suggest not claiming anything. Just hang around where you like where there's space when you need to.

Cut-throat's a pretty busy place, Lakeshire is emptier, as was suggested.

Don't get into the ownership feuds though, only gets messy and isn't worth your time and energy.

Only claim owenership of places *no-one* goes. Like, say, the lighthouse in Desolace. You'll be hard-pressed to find people saying "But that's my house!" And if you do, well, hey, at least you found roleplay out in the world.

Well I seem to have been a little misunderstood. It's not that I want to OWN it. It's more a sense of having a place that we will use frequently as our base of operations. In this I'm not saying other people cannot use the place. What I am saying however is that I would like to get a place we could use frequently. The reason I am asking is because I don't want to be invasive on someone else's role-playing. Like if someone had been using cut-throat for a long time, I didn't want to impose on them by starting a lot of role-play around the zone where we use it as a headquarters.

I'd go for Lakeshire, but I have selfish reasons for wanting to do so. The RP in Darkshire is a really nice change from Stormwind and organised events, so having another place to go to for RP would be awesome, particularly for a Wandering Company like ourselves. If you do set yourself up there you can be fairly sure that we will be 'wandering through' for any events you organise there, and probably every now and again for fun too Very Happy

We should make a list of all the houses 'claimed' by someone (Old Emma's House, the pubs in the park etc.).
