Not sure people are aware of it. But yes, theres a chatbox at the end of the forum now. You can join it and chat with people LIVE there now Smile

But yeah, on a serious note, I've noticed noone is really using it, and if I go afk there waiting in case someone DOES come in, I get dc'd after a while, so *shrug*

Looks to work fine. It's a bit.. um.. "special", if you ask me. You have to click "join the chat", another window opens, you are still offline and need to click on "log in" on the upper right part.

Hm, it seems too unactively used. Maybe forum mods should make a short message that reads "The Chatbox is now available. Feel free to chat with your fellow RPer." or something when you log on?

There does seem to be a lot of people online and not in it. Maybe they don't like it... but I wasn't even sure it was working...

If people don't know, they have to actually "login" to activate it. But thats just a little tab on the top right hand of the chatbox. Nothing you have to type or such.

We have a shout/chat box on my old guildpage. A thing that could help notably is if the last 10 messages can remain visible in the chat. Sometimes this seems to work on this one, but most of the time it doesn't. As a result, you need people to be there at the exact same time to chat whereas a shoutbox would allow someone to post something and relog an hour later to see if there's an answer.
I'm not sure this option is available on these forums though.

It's enough to click the 'archives' and you have it like a shoutbox where you can read or leave messages. This is very cool Wink
