Heavy Metal mainly, but I'm going to link an awesome track for when one is out in the summer warmth, lying on a field or on the grass in the backyard/park - Aaah... 'dreamy look'

And for foul'story writing!

I usually listen to things i find good. ( Duh! )
It can vary from metal to classical. Usually i just have to like a certain sound a band or singer can have.
I can't classify it to one genre, since sometimes i just hate certain bands and like others. Or even one song and hate the rest of what they make.

But here are some exapmles of band i usually like:
Muse, Placebo, DreamTheather, Iced Earth, HolyHell (far better than within temptation! )
Amon Amarth, Opeth, Scorpions , Rhapsody of Fire, Samael, ASP , Septic Flesh
Apocolyptica, DarkTranqility and in flames!, Queen now and then, Tom waits, Luca Turilli, Pink Floyd.
Various classical people that come a lot around on the radio but i can never remember the names of them!
Also to enya, clannad ( especially the robin hood album <3 )
And a lot more i can't think up that fast.
