Age of Conan, anyone?
Does anybody play this game? And what do you think of it?
In my opinion, the game's great. At launch it was a big fail, indeed. Many bugs and such. But now, most of them are fixed, and I actually rest from WoW drama in AoC roleplay and PvE! Have got a 80 level dark templar, aquilonian!

I've heard about all the improvements and been thinking about trying it out again, but knowing I'll never be able to get to 80 before getting bored, I don't see much of a point.

Infidel! I find questing in Age of Conan many times more interesting than in WoW. :3
So realistic quests! So dramatic! And, I loved my roleplay there. Owned a fortress IC, as well as bodyguards and mercenaries! Ah... Age of Conan is the only game where you can actually do whatever you want. It makes the roleplay more realistic, and makes you value your bodyguards and retinue, when not in capital cities (Sort of sanctuaries).
The only peaceful places were minor settlements with NPC peacekeepers, capitals and your own guild city, heh. Going to pay my old account again in a few days, will see how fare the servers are.

I wouldn't say it lets you do what you want. There are so many areas you can see but not go to, because a waist-high fence coupled with an invisible wall is in the way. I dunno, I can't deal with that when it comes to MMORPGS.
And personally it won't matter if the levelling's the best in any game ever. I only enjoy myself at the endgame

Age of Conan RP is much more complicated than WoW, I had no idea how emotes worked when I used to play it. Anyway I had cimmerian barbarian on RP realm, but unfortunately my PC won't run this game.

I played for a while, the reasons I quit was;
The class-balance is EXTREMELY poor.
It's not polished and the UI sucks.
It's not as clean and easy to understand and get into.
The RP is all pre-planned and scarse.
It gets repetitive fast.
It doesn't run smoothly, even when you are able to run it max graphics.. it's just not as "smooth".
It limits your ability to do other things on your PC.
Quests become weird and there's no set line that sends you to the right zones at the right times.
Too few quests.
Too confusing instances.
What I loved though;
What little RP there is, it is OUTSTANDING.
The envoirement and storyline are SO great.
The world pulls you in and you're really something, you do stuff.
You can choose your conversations.
The cities are real.
The graphics ROCK.
Blood and fatalities.
PvP orientated.

Yeah, you could really see the details in their penis.
>_> <_<
You got to admit, a lot of people did just buy the game for the cyboring action.

I don't think full nudity is even possible in the game..? Not that I tried. I never saw a penis of any kind, only some b bies!
'Sides, if you're that obsessed seein' a pen0r, just google.

I'd rather not, even though someone like me should be interested in that kind of stuff, I'm still not into things you're into
Otherwise, Age of Conan has been shoved under the carpet for a while now. I think they were just determined to make an MMO for adults, honestly.

That's it! +17 tag helps. RP is awesome there, and those who tend to ERP, run a guild of whores (Which gets into the lore well. It's a more realistic world, unlike warcraft and such). And even those whores aren't "slutty" as you'd say, and are times more decent and natural than many NE females you meet in Stormwind and beyond.
And well, I wouldn't come back to WoW if not my bank that refuses to pay for AoC and even LOTRO.
Must also add that I like the universe of it pretty much. 10k years BC, real world in ice age. Romano-greek styled armors <3. Awesome character models. You can be slender or muscled, but nothing unnatural. Awesome fatalities too, and the gameplay I loved as well. I just got bored of WoW PvP and PvE I guess, that explains my love of AoC quests and dungeons.

Out of everything in this game, it was the fighting system that I didn't get on with. It put me off really, really quickly. So I was rather glad I was playing on a friend's computer and account.

Going through the starting area and getting acquainted with the game mechanics put me off rather quickly, but I might give it a try again if I happen to find a pc large enough to run the game smoothly - And if I happen to "find" a bundle of cash somewhere...
