Abide with me, fast falls the night,
The darkness deepens, we need your Light,
When other helpers fail, and comforts flee,
O glorious Light, abide with me.

We need your presence every passing hour,
What but your grace can foil the tempter’s power?
Who but you may guide and almighty be?
Through rain and shine, abide with me.

I fear no foe with you at hand to bless,
Ills have no weight, and bitter tears less,
Where is death’s chill? All around to see,
I triumph still, if you abide with me.

Hold your Light before my closing eyes,
Shine through the gloom, point us to the skies,
The night breaks, and the shadows shall flee,
In life, in death, o glorious Light, abide with me.

Please bless and protect them, and grant them success over those who seek to do us harm...
