I can't hear yooouuu!

So, who has the best hearing in the game of all the races? Including only races that we would roleplay as.

Night elves without a doubt. Followed by blood elves. Hearing is what elves are known for.

Worgen have good hearing as well, but not on par with elves. Their main strength is in their ability to smell.

I would imagine trolls, having a history of surviving off hunting in the jungles, would be pretty up there as well

This. Night elves has the best hearing imo.

Ear size compared to head size. Big = gud. Small = deaf.

Don't think it's only related to ear size. Lot more factors that would play into it.

Elves, its indicated in several WoW because If I recall.

I know Orcs are better known for their eye sight... beyond that, who knows!

Druids probably have better hearing, go cat form or something and bam.

No way. Except if the character is old (physically, like aged, not ageless etc) then the bigger ears might mean his hearing is failing.

Seriously though, ofc there's more. A city gnome wouldn't be as aware of his hearing as one who's been adventuring etc, still bigger ears helps lead more sounds to the inner ears. Small/no ears should thus lead to shorter range/smaller hearing radius.

Ear size has nothing to do with ability to hear. And what are we putting down as good hearing?

Range of frequencies they can perceive?
Lowest number of decibels they can perceive?
Longest distance over which they can separate out distinct voices/sounds?
All of the above?

What classifies as good hearing?

As a fun little chat, I can enjoy this thread. But as a serious conversation, I think we need to work out the question before we can figure out the answer (It's 42).

I would say that the best hearing goes to the one with all of the above, as I did not realy think about what "good hearing" actually means.
