This Book can be found, newly distributed by unknown hands, in various locations across the City of Stormwind.

Introduction.

Firstly, to whoever reads the manuscript of this humble author, sadly unknown to all, in the hopes of extracting its messages, I will heartily congratulate you, for you state an example of both courage and mental capacity of comprehension vaining in the veneer that is our structure of society and moral comfort this day. You display an actual quality of adherence to the written word, a tool offering the means to meaning and for those within the mental qualifications to listen, the enunciation of truth, and while you understand the meanings of simple truth, there are those whom despise its very nature, as it separates them from what they desire from you and all those around you. It is to my deepest quality of advice that the reader will refrain from being discovered with the contents of this statement of truth by those that would refrain from the ideas of truth, as this might lead to an undesired outcome of  a sadly legal enforcement of lies and distinctly mocking injustice in the name of justice. It is to my desire that you are not caught in possession of my written works by the local priest or associate of the Church of The Holy Light, as they will emptily rid you of fullest truth and consign you to oblivion, torture and state an example of what happens to the seekers of truth in their tyrannical shape of society. For the Light’s worshippers despise you, and those who are influenced by the Light’s worshippers despise you all the same, for they are slaves to their ignorance and naught but mindless sheep, ever in the constant illusion of safety by that which is ‘good’ from that which is ‘evil’, or so they would be brought to believe by the artists of this delusionary painting, an image of words and philosophy ever bent to the wills of the artists, sole manipulators of your every-day life and tyrannical tormentors of the tremendously gifted by the trespassing vanquisher of illusionary mists of bending known as truth. Know that these individuals who are masked of their villainy with holy word are your true enemies, while in their zealotry, they will not comprehend this truth, for the truth is not a part of their ability to understand, as it would render their lives lacking of meaning and purpose in the eyes of the deluded and the deluders themselves. What I will describe as this simple truth, is the defining of the so-called ‘Dark Arts’, and the real definition of the term, for it has never been clearly defined in its ever expanding consistency, which remains to this day as the most fundamental of strategic creations of its makers, as the uncertainty suits their purposes more than anything this day.

In our everyday lives, we are brought to believe in various meanings of our world by thinkers and interpreters of life and death known as our fellow individuals and ourselves. Our existence is approached by a richly varied sense of different outlooks of life and worship. Some dedicate themselves to the old elements of our existence, some to the teachings of love and holy writ. While there are those that look to themselves and their natural ability to acknowledge  and recognize the truth of the world, basing their mindset on their own wit and sense of logic, a set of followers of independence and a hope in a degenerated an deranged world. These individuals are indeed superior to their lesser rivals of interpretation of truth. They think and speak by their own standard and not to the bendings of a view so false and weak that its feeble followers will frantically despise them forever, even if such will result in contradiction to their so-called righteous cause. For in the eyes of these vermin, anything other than mindless servitude is considered distasteful, if not a downright heresy, an act so heinous it deserves to be punished in accordance to the non-existent severity of the transgression.

The Arts of Magic, a subject understood truly by few, is managed, reflected upon and evaluated for its standards. It is not a matter within the comprehension of any commoner of our dear Capital. Hence they leave such matters to the select few with either understanding or illusion of understanding. The People will fear the unknown always and use the target of that fear to excuse their daily troubles and place the blame upon the neck of betters. Priests that claim to understand the meanings of the natural order of the world see naught but the deranged one-sided view of their lies.

The Dark Arts of Magic is a term widely recognized by society to define evil. While less than half of the speakers of this term will generally understand what the Dark Arts actually mean and feature, they are encouraged to display this lack of intelligence and mental capacity by those that dominate the term, I will name these manipulators as the Followers of the Holy Light.

Chapter 1.

Natalie Seline and the Necrolytes of the First War.
Firstly, I will tell you of the works that inspired this humble author’s hand and set in motion a circulating spectrum of questions that lead us closer to the truth behind the so reviled revision of the ridiculously flawed commitment of perjury. These works are the notes of Natalie Seline, Bishop of Lordaeron before the implosion of her Kingdom.
It was during the time of the first invasion launched by the vile Orcish Horde from their shattered home we call Outland that investigations were made regarding the magical powers used by the enemy to thwart the armies of man. These Dark Spellcasters were no other than the Necrolytes, the Priestly figures of the Orcish religion, an early affiliation of Necromancers and practitioners of the essence of Shadow Magic. These Magic-users were charged with bolstering the ranks of the Orcish armies with the risen corpses of their slain enemies, a stunning example of the fatality instigated when armies make use of Dark Magic to further their rampage.
During this troubled time of tremendous transgression, Natalie Seline conducted a study on these Necrolytes to find a more efficient method for the Alliance to combat them. In time, these studies revealed a glimmer of a thought that seemed to plague the bishop relentlessly; That of the nature of Shadow.

Her endeavours at deciphering truth out of these drifting shards of thinking were not unanswered, while they did not meet the expected embrace from the deluded as she probably would have imagined.
Was the unnatural and evil magic of the reviled enemy truly unnatural? Why did such forces exist and to what purpose would the so-called evil that they pose serve?
There can never be good without evil, and hence for the light to exist, there must always be shadow as its counterpart. Every action in our existence produces an opposite reaction and the denial of this truth is the workings of the ignorant enemies from within.
With this philosophy in mind, Natalie Seline began to preach all the more of the necessity of balance in the world. Her discoveries were not met with the same understanding however, and shortly after her eventual death, her works were confiscated and locked away by the Kirin Tor in the vaults of their wizardly city.
With that act, a verily righteous concept of a voice expressing truth was silenced by the self-proclaimed speakers of truth in fatal dismissal. For such theories did not suit well with those that dominated the faith in the Kingdoms.

Chapter 2.

Order and Chaos.
What is Chaos? What is Order? What is this concept of balance to which we turn for in hopes of guidance in our moderation? Why do we value this notion that goodness lies imbedded in keeping the darkness at bay? What is Darkness? Is it the rushing icy shards of Icecrown? The beast that resides in every man? The Mysteries of the Night? The urge to oppress the Dark and revel in the Light is driven by the combined will of those lacking of will, the spineless cowards whose continuation of existence is a punishment from the divine and no more than a mockery.
Let me indulge you, reader of truth, in the great questions of Balance, Order, and Chaos. Three words with supposed answer to a thousand questions and more, three words to describe the great orchestrations of life and all its aspects. The questions of this undaunted enlightenment can be interpreted by various means of variation of view.

Society and Law are both institutions of Order. Those that constitute this structure live by the hopes of its continuity, and hence as they seek to build their citadel of clearness and direction, that which tears down this wall of rules is the very opposite to Order, as any individual with the slightest hint of intellectual capacity can know: Chaos.
The followers of Order and Chaos are ever in constant battle throughout eternity, for after Order, Chaos is instigated, and in the aftermath of the reign of Chaos, a structure of Order will once again spring to life. This is not to be contested, for the simple truth that change is in motion will always be a fact of existence. Hence after Order, comes chaos, and after chaos comes order. The philosophers of the world whose sole guideline rests in the values of this realization will turn to what they will call a ‘middle ground’ in the stage of life. A balance of Order and Chaos to contain the outbreak of civilization’s fall. But while their efforts are indeed prestigious, the path to which they turn will always be that of the thinnest of threads, vulnerable to the slightest effort of force, by which their toil will be in vain, and their lives all the same.
Hence it must be concluded that the middle ground will always be a path of weakness, and so must the practices of Shamanism and Druidism; the preservers of ‘balance’, affiliate with this category.

Chapter 3.

The Dark Path.
Prestigious interpreter of existence, as you have reached this stage of reading in the works of this humble author, whose identity must remain unknown for the world to benefit from the verbal note of his quill, you are likely contemplating that of which I have instructed you. I have told you in this anonymous shadow of my true self through these thin passages of parchment, of the qualities of life, the conceptions of Order and Chaos, and the contraptions of a dominance based on the people’s outrageous stupidity.
As an individual of esteemed intelligence with which to comprehend me, you probably wonder where in this perilous pile of oppression we refer to as our world, that you might find Justice. Will it shine down upon you by the blessing of the Light in the celebrated embrace of religion? Will you find harmony in your existence by acts of generosity and compassion? The display of such emotions as well as the implications of such actions of vulnerability can in no way do you good in the world. For the veracity of the world reveal you no such responses. Give the poor man a fish and he shall consume your hand along with it. Open your heart and soul to the people and they will destroy you. There is no good in the world that preaches it, for only children and fools will choose to believe it.

The goal that is justice can only be achieved by looking to one source, that of yourself. The Holy Light and its priesthoods will promise you a bone but when times of need arises, it will forsake you, and leave you naked to an unforgiving world. It is only within ourselves that we can summon the power needed for survival in this veneer that is the World, a concealment to a dying structure kept together by thin silken threads of lies. Truly, the Light shines in its tyranny, oppressing the world in its rays, but one never said you cannot find allies amidst the shadows.

For those with functionable eyes and minds not yet caught in the web of deception, a sense of truth will always linger, and with it, a potential that holds the keepers of false truth in fear, for it opposes them. For these individuals, their existence has struck them in contemplation beyond the boundaries of the ignorant and the insidious limitations of falsification. These men and women pose abilities of understanding greater than their lesser fellows, and will by any means stand out for their superiority, their ‘eccentric’ behaviour, their ‘evil’, their ‘faithlessness’. These men and women walk the Dark Path of Truth that is not recognized by the people’s lured senses and will face public prosecution should they linger in the Light’s strokes of false comfort before the guillotine. These people are enlightened, they see what lies beyond the walls of our everyday lives and securities, and they do not fear it. On the contrary, they are willing to embrace it and fully take charge of their lives. Know that these men and women have earned your respect, for they have the ability and instinct required to one that delves into the Dark Arts.

Chapter 4.

What is the Dark Arts?
And now, my dear reader of this humble author’s work, I shall describe to you the true path of survival beyond the understanding of Life’s underlings of unworthy existence, how knowledge can overcome the illusion of knowledge, and how to shatter the shackles of oppression to revel in the dark. Let this be a passage to the philosophies of your individual practices, and may it be shared by many brothers and sisters of the same path in the Centuries to come, for to this humble author’s hand, we are all brothers and sisters in the face of our persecutors.
The Arcane has always been frowned upon by the common peasantry, whose scorn is only fuelled by the Holy Light and its Church of self-righteous dogma. The Wizards of the Kirin Tor were called Heretics for centuries as the Church was never fond of their methods, their ‘unhealthy’ lifestyles, the lifestyles of wizardry, would consign their souls to eternal damnation in the afterlife. In other words; Their view of the world differed from the Light’ teachings, and they were a threat that needed to be shunned by the populace for the Light to maintain its esteem in the eyes of the people, and they will go as far as to say, that all Mages in existence shall in time, turn to the Dark Arts, a corruption to be cleansed by the burning at a stake or by a Soldier’s sword.
But what is the Dark Arts? And why does the Light shun it so? It is not for the purpose of good and evil, for such remains non-existent in this exceptionally ignorant idea that is the Church’s stance to Arcane Magic. They are afraid of the powers extracted through wizardry, as the independent nature of such will venture beyond their ability to control. Hence they shun it, and convinces the people to shun it. The powers of the many is never to be underestimated and hence our reputation has been exceptionally damaged.

That which is classified as the Dark arts is typically, ‘evil’ magic in accordance to the Church, the powers fueled by the blood of demons, the altering of the means of life and death, to embrace that which stands opposite to the Holy Light, to strive beyond its oppressive hold of lies.

The reason why so many choose the paths of the Dark Arts and is not a great mystery, for the offer of power beyond comprehension of your peers is a passage to a potential to the liking of all but the foolish and the superstitious. How many times have the powers of darkness overwhelmed the forces of their orderly counterparts? Lordaeron, the once mighty jewel of the North is naught but a wasteland, deposed of its glory by the power of the Undead. Was not Stormwind, the shining beacon of the Alliance once raised by the savage Horde and their corpses raised to empower their dark armies? Is it not the Legion, that has consumed world upon world beyond our own in their burning crusade of destruction?
The Dark Arts offers mastery of such destructive power that it renders its rivals impotent. The bindings of powerful demons, the influencing of the mind, and a force to overcome death itself lies within your grasp, with but the requirement that you embrace it and seize the world by the throat and make it give you what you desire.

Magic is powerful,
Magic is Corruptive,
Magic is an Addiction,
Magic Attracts the Twisting Nether,
Embrace it and you shall find infinity.

Chapter 5.

Lies.
Now you know the falsehood that is the Light, and the implications of public opposition to its vile hand of dominance. Its rays dim the minds of its followers in an intoxicating stench of misconception, and we are all mindless slaves under its tyranny, until the chains are broken and the despotism subdued by the forces of true Kings, not the Kings and Queens that adorn the Thrones of civilization in its decrepit claim to authority, but the true Masters of Infinity, the ones that can find strength in the void.

And hence, as the Light finds strength in its illuminating rays, so shall the followers of darkness find it in places forgotten by its vanity, the shadowy corners, traits that will arise always in the shade of the Light’s illusions is the safe haven for truth. Hence a follower of truth shall fall should he step out of his corner of enlightenment, and the Holy man shall be consigned to Oblivion and eternal torment of the Nether should he venture without the quantity of his brothers to aid him. What light creates, we shall devour, for our purpose of existence gives us the right.

I end this modest writ in the hopes that you, the punished philosopher of veracity, shall  find it inspirational for your life to come, and learn from its messages. The Light is your one, true enemy, and only the patience of the proficient shall overcome its grip. Linger in the darkness, revel in the shadows, and one day, the truth shall be known and the hypocrites cast out.
The Light is weak,
The Light is False,
The Light can hold no true claim to existence.

Calamity casually flicks through the issue she stumbled across, munching on a freshly baked cookie as she does so. Once the name Natalie Seline hits her eye, she dusts the cookie crumbs away and leaps to her feet, dashing around (or rather, Blinking around) to find as many more of these documents as she can carry. She takes these to the Royal Library, dumping them down on a desk whilst muttering something or other defiant of the Kirin Tor. She balances her cookie in her mouth and takes once more to reading.

The line "Give the poor man a fish and he shall consume your hand along with it" has her chuckling obnoxiously loudly in the library, spattering cookie crumbs everywhere. She makes a note of that one.

She mutters as her eyes flicker over the last lines: "So close, yet so far." She keeps one copy for herself, tucking it away in her satchel, leaving the rest on the table in a messy pile for the librarian to deal with. Along her trip to the Mage Tower she procures the document from her satchel once again to look here and there and everywhere in hope of finding any indication as to the identity of the author, an act she only repeats several times later on, compulsively determined to discover the source.

Skarain have got her hands on the book which she skims through with a glass of wine in the dim light of a candle. Her mouth turns into a smirk and she laughs out aloud upon reading 'Give the poor man a fish'.

Sure an interesting way to word it, she thinks. She reads further and perks an eyebrow upon coming on a point, over which she trace her finger as she reads.

'It is only within ourselves that we can summon the power needed for survival in this veneer that is the World, a concealment to a dying structure kept together by thin silken threads of lies. Truly, the Light shines in its tyranny, oppressing the world in its rays, but one never said you cannot find allies amidst the shadows.'

Skarain snorts, mumbling "So the author is one following the teachings of the Forgotten Shadows or at least go with the ideology of power to change the universe. Sure, can be one view of it..." she drifts off and continue reading.

'The Arcane has always been frowned upon by the common peasantry, whose scorn is only fuelled by the Holy Light and its Church of self-righteous dogma. The Wizards of the Kirin Tor were called Heretics for centuries as the Church was never fond of their methods, their ‘unhealthy’ lifestyles, the lifestyles of wizardry, would consign their souls to eternal damnation in the afterlife. '

Skarain stares at the page a moment. "...And that misstrust of common-folk have clearly nothing to do with the fact that majority of magi practice their arts without much of self-restraint and are able to set an entire town in flames while a priest is bound by religious codes to help the innocent. People fear powers they do not have, especially powers that can be turned against them."

Skarain reads further and grins widely upon reading 'burning at a stake'. "Chapter of Holy Anethion, i assume". She reads further and stumbles upon the modified Laws of Arcane Magic. She reads out slowly "Embrace it and you shall find infinity" several times, as to understand it properly. Shaking her head slowly by herself, she stumbles upon yet another line.

'The Light is your one, true enemy'

Skarain close her eyes for a moment, sitting in her chair and twirl the wine yet left in her glass around. She then shakes her head slightly, drinks her wine and picks up the book. She slides it her bookshelf and stares at it a moment. Narrow her mouth slightly, she speaks on a low tone.

"Well that sure is one author who have taken one step to far into the abyss. Why do people 'insist' on delve so deep into dark arts that they go mad with power?" She asks herself. Skarain takes a deep breath, shaking her head to herself and turns, walking to her enchanting table to start working again, muttering as she begin to pick reagents from different boxes. "I sure have no interest to meet that person who wrote all that rubbish"

Arabella lays down on her bed as works her way through the literature.
After she is down with the material, she places it next to her on the bed and stares at the ceiling for a few moments as she allows it's text to sink in.

After a while laughter begins to build up inside of her, soon it becomes uncontrollable and she accidentally knocks the material off of the bed.

Soon her laughter eventually dies down. She picks up the book and shakes her head, placing it in the bin. Arabella glides over to the bed and takes a nap.

During one of many Saturday afternoons, Mall finds the book somewhere in the Library. Upon seeing the title he gets quite intrigued and interested in the content, wishing it could add some new perception to his conception of the Light. He takes a look at the list of contents, and... He already knows the book won't reveal nothing new.
He pics a chapter and opens the book at it. He reads quietly: "[...] the Light’s worshippers despise you," and answers "Yeah, all the time..."
He skips some pages.
"There can never be good without evil, and hence for the light to exist, there must always be shadow as its counterpart," - with that it is hard to argue. This paradox and universe's dichotomy is, as they say, what drove the very titans mad. Mall finds this line very accurate; he often sees paladins who overuse the grace that was bestowed upon them, which leads to creating a counterweight, someday, somwhere.

"The Light is weak," - this line cheers him up. He even experiments with changing it a little: "The Light is light," "The Light is heavy," up to "The weak is the Light." He finds the last quite amusing.

"The Light is False," - there is good and evil, but which is which? Is shadow true?

"The Light can hold no true claim to existence," - why then it must be there as much present as its counterpart? He starts to perceive the content not only funny, but also not holding together. He closes the book and puts it back on the shelf.

Leans back on tree near their small camp, her eyes following the movements of young Arelia Mens and Dartal Khent, their wooden swords cutting through the air and connecting, both wearing play grey robes with chainmail armor underneath. Her attention is broken by a rider approaching them, her right hand goes for the the axe resting on her belt but stops as she notices the figurine with the wide brimmed hat.
"Hail Anethion, sister Pureheart."
the woman says as she nears the tree where Morgan stood.
"I think that this might interest you."
she nods and from her pack she throws her a book, Morgan grabs it and nods slowly lowering herself and opening it, the sound of wood striking wood echoing in the distance. As she opens it, her single eye starts moving with great speed, running over the content of the book, while the hated figure walks of to watch the two clash at each other with great force. After some time, Morgan stands up and spits to the side
"Heresy."
she then takes the book and slowly makes her way to their lit fire, throwing it swiftly into it. "Stormwind is descending into darkness. Sister Anastasija."
The figure in the hat turns slowly and with her, both aspirants do as well.
"Keep us informed on this, and try to... remove as much as this nonsense as possible." The figure slowly nods and then makes her way to her mare.
"Very well sister Pureheart, Glory under the Light." she states as she then rises into her saddle and takes of.
"Be wary sister, and Fate shall Overcome." she states and then turns her eyes to the burning book, with a promise of more to come.

*Somewhere in reclaimed Tyr's Hand...*

*toop*! the book sounded itself while getting closed.
A rugged looking man with a foxtail put it back on the table, looked towards his twin greatswords, stroked his beard and said: "Hmm... I guess we're going to Stormwind".
