Cogshield - RP-PVP RBG Taskforce

Built upon an idea of a more "free" military organization, COGSHIELD is a "Come and go" taskforce, that is built up by a group of representatives guilds and organizations. COGSHIELD gathers once per week to handle (but not limited to) small-scale skirmishes against both the Horde and traitors of the Alliance.




The idea behind COGSHIELD is that there is no organization. While COGSHIELD has dedicated members, the idea is that those within the group are not bound by duty. They fight because they desire to, or because they need to. They answer only to officers of the Alliance Military, or to the group they hail from.



If you desire to join COGSHIELD you must first pass some simple requirements,to ensure that you're up to the task.

You must:
Be able to listen, when spoken to.
Be able to take criticism.
Be able to act, when required to.
Be a official member of the Alliance.
Be of a race of the official Alliance. (We do not take traitors of the Horde)
Fight with honor, in a way that would make the Alliance proud.
Bring your own tools of war, COGSHIELD only supplies armor and weaponry to those who work for it.

You must not:
Expect a position of power.
Expect to lead.
Desert, deserters will be hunted and killed.
Disrespect your comrades. (Racism, assault, or otherwise)
Betray the Alliance.
Reason with the Enemy.

If nothing above goes against your person. Then either send a letter to Mineral Coppersocket, Dwarven District in Stormwind- or find her within the Lion's Pride Inn, within the town of Goldshire.


This is my RBG group. Anyone who's in my RBG group, that desires to be in it is allowed to. My RBG group is a Open RBG group that allows just about anyone in. The requirements are simply that you got the season's honor gear, and skype.

The group's main goal, is to enjoy the game, and I though this idea would be a nice touch to add on so that people who do the RBGs can somewhat interact with it even when not in the RBGs.

I'm still working out a bit of the details, and I still need a roster list and who funds the project IC. However, the idea of COGSHIELD is simple. The members aren't required to do anything specific, they're not forced to leave their guilds or anything of the likes. We're simply a bit more organized team, where characters simply recognize each others outside the battlefield, and can exchange a few words here and there about a certain RBG game or such without it being strange ICly.

COGSHIELD as a group will likely also become part WPVP, given our recent actions in the world. Ranging from both attacks on RP Horde and cities alike.

More details will be disclosed once I have everything set up.

also, when do you do your RBGs?

Thursdays, at 19:45 every week. Sometimes we add Friday in too as a extra day.

While the presence in the RBGs can be a bit sporadic, we get a full group 99% of the time. Out of all the weeks, there's only been 3 in total where RBGs have not happened. Either due my own absence (Due to travel), or because we didn't get enough people that specific week.

Lately however, the presence has been high. I invite people on a first-comes basis, unless people have pressed Accept on the calendar. (However, that means those that have, have to be there on time too.)

Something important for everyone interested however, this group is not for those that believe themselves better than others. This is a quite casual group, although we do desire to win. We have absolutely no desire to have people in the group that takes on the winning idea in exchange for fun. Enjoyment is the main component.

That said, I make it damn clear that this is indeed a RBG group. Communication of some description and some form of organization is key.
I won't accept someone leaving a healer to defend, or people running around on their own. I will neither accept people getting irritated or angry because I replaced them due to them being late. If the demand is high a week and you're late, you're going to miss your spot. That's that. We'll invite you when/if we get a spot for you.
Alternatively, if you're a healer. I may sometimes switch myself out to allow you to get in after a game or two.

Our setup is nearly always 3 healers (aside from the times I fuck up and we get 2 or 4), as for our DPS? It depends on what we get that specific week. It can be a lot of warriors one week, another a lot of mages. We try get people on their alts if possible if we've stacked too much and it's not working. But generally we just take what we get.

Updated the post. It's still not finished, but it's better than it was.

Now with the season having ended, we'll likely focus entirely on Wargames and WPVP. However, I expect activity from those who aren't interested in such things to diminsh entirely until WoD.
