The Arena of Blood! [A-RP-PVP]

The time has come
For the past few generations. Stormwind has stood not only as a nation. As a beacon of hope for all of those who stand for peace and justice. Despite countless attacks by Horde forces the gates have stood strong, and the walls even stronger! Together as a nation, divided by nothing at all we have stood before endless odds and managed to overcome any problems in our way. But despite our great victory's and heroic tales we got foolish. We were foolish to believe that war was over. We were foolish to believe that the bloodshed would end and there would be peace in our times. We grew old and senile.. blind to the real problems that were arising right beneath our noses. And so now we sleep at night, ignoring a force more powerful than ever before, threatening us again. Threatening to wipe all races of the Alliance off the face of the earth. We must bring all of our forces together in this final stand to destroy those that would threaten us. Not only must we bring our swords to the Arena Of Blood - But we must also bring... our pets. There will be bloodshed! Poets and bards will sing of the heroic deeds that took place upon the day where heroes stood in the Arena of Blood and fought for what they truly believed in! Coin will be won by those who are righteous enough to stand up against The Blood Lord himself and defeat him in combat. But this will be no easy task, this will take the might of The Alliances most mighty heroes from all races! Who knows what chaos will ensue if The Blood Lord is not toppled? We will all pay the price should you fail. The Blood Lord is waiting for you challengers!

The Blood Arena is located in the darkest depths of Elwynn Forest. A place where mortal men fear to tred. A small abandoned house and cellar lay deep in a copse of wood. Should you buy a ticket.. you will be provided with a map to the location of The Arena of Blood

OOC Information:

Are you ready for the most intense and gore filled RP-PVP battle of all time? That's right. Your two favourite things. Roleplay.. and Pet vs Pet battles. So this is basically a cool.. funny thing we decided to come up with. Because the event is hosted by The Forlorn Cartel of course, expect to be robbed of all your gold. No. I'm kidding. But we will be hosting this extremely over the top pet battle tournament ICLY in a cellar in Elwynn. The OOC location will be the cellar under Westbrook Garrison.

The event will be taking place on Wednesday the 10th of September, starting ICly at 19:30 for setup and then battles beginning at 20:00 SERVERTIME.

I don't intend to have -Too- many competitors due to making it extremely complicated so anyone who is interested in competing please message me via private message here or ingame (Tyréllius) Or even In Character!

There will be a series of stages between competitors that are set up, with betting and so on inbetween fights. This event is still -Shady- meaning it will be bloody and gory. Your pet -May- die ICLY or just be badly injured.. that we leave up to you. In the end there will be only -One- finalist who will get a shot at defeating our oh so handsome "Blood Lord".

OOC RULES:
- You may have up to three pets
- ONLY level 1 pets are permitted
- Any pet class is allowed, so long as the pets are realistic (No murkablos pls)

I don't understand the story behind it, be it serious or not, but otherwise it looks pretty good. Oh and even though I myself don't play one, nor probably never will, do you accept mighty paladins to tear everyone to shreds?

The main theme behind the story regards me spouting paragraphs of epic sounding bullshit to make myself feel intelligent, and then most likely get schooled by Kayle when I get too big for my boots. But we accept any class, any race so long as they have pets ready to tear others to shreds!

Yeeeah we had to come up with a set of rules that allowed all people to participate even those who hadn't actually spent time levelling up their pets - hence the level 1 pets only rule

Why would you make a pet battle event and then cater to the people who don't want to engage in pet battling

The event is catered towards as many people as I could possibly cater too. As primarily an RP event mixed in with some entertaining IC pet battles I didn't want to make it so a large proportion of people couldn't attend or take part. I didn't want people in the community to feel as though they couldn't have a chance to win because they hadn't taken the time to level up their pets. This event was targetted towards the entire Alliance RP community not towards the elitist DB pet battling comittee. The rules are simple, and easy for anyone of any race, level or class can take part. Just because someone hasn't taken the time to level their pets doesn't mean they are therefore not interested in taking part in pet battles or RP-PVP

Nothing stops from creating a low level alt and attending either! Considering we're getting the merged realms character slots wont be a problem.
