I just read this and had to share it.. Yes it's war and involves people being killed however the feat in itself.. It's amazing..

It all comes down to the skill of the marksman, even with such a pansy british rifle too

Actually, my peacekeeper friend told me that british soldiers pretty much make him weep for humanity.Elízabéth Moren wrote:Pretty impressive, I have to admit.

Not to mention that back when he was being in basic training during his military service they had some joint excercise in Poland with Brits waiting to be shipped to Afganistan.
Their unit was given the task of stalling the Brits for as long as they could. In the end the Brits were pretty much demolished with the Finns taking minimal casualties.

Yes it is. it's most used to take things that are armoured. it's designation in Norway is ''12,7 MØR'' that means in eniglish: Material Destroying Rifle. i rember some time ago it was used by Norwegian soilders in Afganistan and it made the headlines becouse people meant it was too inhumane to use it just one people.
But back on topic, it's a really nice shoot, but i can't understand why people want to be a sniper

Better yet, Finnish snipers...
Just the iron sights on one of these. Ok, not over 1.54miles. But its or how big your weapon is or how far you shoot it. That's what all the Finn's I know tell me anyway, and it makes me feel better.

It basically fucks you up if you get shot by it..
Tearing you up and shredding you as if a bus just hit you.
Also it can effectively stop a light-armored vehicle

In a remarkable tour of duty, he cheated death a few weeks later when a Taliban bullet pierced his helmet but was deflected away from his skull.
British snipers are continuing to fight in Afghanistan
During the Taliban ambush, his patrol vehicle was hit 36 times. He said: "One round hit my helmet behind the right ear and came out of the top.
"Two more rounds went through the strap across my chest. We were all very, very lucky not to get hurt."
He later broke both arms when his army vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb.
Cpl of Horse Harrison was sent back to the UK for treatment, but insisted on returning to the front line after making a full recovery.
Good lord.

Not as awesome as the Germans! Though I nearly weep when I see their performance in A-stan..
But yeah, the sniper made a very impressive kill, hooah.
