(H) RPWPVP Project RED SERPENT (Sin Draco)

MARCH 2014 - The Guild is Silent running for now - we will expand agin perhaps when WoD comes - we will see.
So following is inactive for now. (I was asked)

A few Rpers, PVPers and WPvpers have got together to build an environment where we can feel happy to meld what we consider some of the fantastic opportunities only found on a RP-PVP Realm like Defias - its early days - but fun.

I told some bar guests the tale of snakes and those of this Order. Also I am asked why the Red snake pet - so (even though we not active really atm) I thought I would share the story of the pet significance - just for the story value :)hope u like.  

Two blood-red serpents form the crest of the Order both on battleflag and tabard. The Thalassian for Red Serpent is Sin Draco.
It was the battle standard of the Regiment that fought in the Horde Armies in Northrend and elsewhere. Members of that Regiment used the emblem after that time and when the Order was formed it was the natural choice.

Story of the Battle of the Snakes

Legend talks of a nest of snakes saving the troops as they camped beside a stream. Alliance forces encircled and unbeknown to the Sindorei found the camp by stealth and planned a night attack. As the first Alliance fighters crept in for the kill, one of them - by coincidence their leader - placed his foot into a shallow burrow in the dark. The burrow belonged to a particularly poisonous adder and her equally poisonous young. The Kaldorei's foot disturbed them and they struck - not once but many times - emerging from the burrow and enveloping his body and that of nearby troops in a writhing venomous ball of pain. The howls of the bitten raised the alarm and the Sindorei were able to wake and arm.

After a vicious fight in the dark the Alliance fell back - and when dawn came to shed light on the scene, 12 Alliance bodies lay in the snow - contorted in grotesque shapes and bloated with venom. The red adder and her young had saved the Sindorei and wreaked havoc.

A magister with the column carefully collected the snakes and they were transported and fed by the troops for the rest of the campaign.
For some reason being fed well the snakes grew large. They seemed unwilling to leave and many became pets of the scouts. Often sentries would sit out the night with their snake in the dark - an extra pair of eyes and a deadly trap for the unwary.

The Order and the Snakes

New Guildies will be issued their own snake at initiation. It bonds and imprints immediately and stays with them for life. It is the living symbol of the Order. Lethal - Cunning - deadly - silent - calculating. Guildies will often appear to be paying attention to their snake when relaxing or in conversation with third parties.

Strangely its presence calms the soul. They need regular feeding with critters and are always present and very visible (on official contacts).
The serpent is your living reminder of your oath - the family - the Order - The Lore behind indicates that the snakes may be somehow symbiotic -
There is talk that this type of arcane symbiosis originated at the court of Azshara - but the Lore is silent on details
