Race: Draenei (Undead)
Class: Death Knight

Birth region: Oshu'Gun

Description: Lelara was relatively young by Draenei standards when she was slain, thus lacks the wisdom and patience of many of her kin. She does not however lack experience, centuries of training coupled with what she learned first hand fighting first the Orcs on Draenor and then for the Scourge on Azeroth has made her quite formidable. She is very confident in her skills and abilities, often to the point of arrogance which can prove to be her downfall in battle.

While her affinity for Frost based powers has helped to preserve her body, decay has made it's mark on her. Gone is the muscular figure she was blessed with in life, now her skeleton is easily visible below her skin, making her a somewhat disturbing sight when outside her armour. Among her other notable features is the eye patch that hides the few remaining scraps of her right eye and the stump of her shattered right horn. Her hair is worn short in a simple bob cut so as not to get in her way during combat.

Lelara cares little for her outward appearance thus is almost always in her heavy plate armour, preferring functionality over aesthetics. On the rare occasion that she removes the armour she adorns herself in simple dark pants and a shirt, more for the sake of modesty than anything else.

Personality: She is cold, distant, arrogant and bitter. The sudden, violent loss of her parents and the fragmentation of her memories during her resurrection has broken her spirit, leaving her lost when left to her own devices.

Despite her insistences to the contrary, she does need others. With no goal or motivation of her own, she need others to give her purpose. Once she has found one such person (or persons) whom can give her purpose (be it a new Master, or even students whom wish to learn from her) she will defend them and/or their cause with zeal. Not because she believes in them or it, but because she fear being left alone with her own mind. She fears having to face the disjointed illusions and phantoms that plague her memories, the mental anguish they can give her can drive her to the brink of madness and possibly beyond it. This is what she fears most, madness, losing what little sense of self she has left and becoming a mindless killing machine like the lesser forms of Undead she looks down upon.

History: Lelara's history is unremarkable until she arrived on Azeroth, she was born to a Jeweller and a Tailor on board the Oshu'Gun and signed up as a Peace Keeper when she was old enough. Over the centuries she spent with them she honed and perfected her skills with many weapons. When the Orcs turned on the upon Draenor she was assigned to helping the citizens escape and fled with them when the defences began to fall. Like many she was part of the desperate charge into Tempest Keep which ended with the Draenei fleeing aboard the Exodar. Once the Draenei arrived on Azertoh, like many of her kin she decided to explore this new world. During this exploration she learned of the Scourge and the horrors it had inflicted upon the land. Disgusted by the Undead, she sought out the Argent Dawn hoping to join them and assist in the eradication of the Scourge. This excursion proved her undoing. She was cut down by the Scourge before she could reach the Argent Dawn and was raised as a Death Knight on Acherus.

Before the Battle of Lights hope she was reassigned to Northrend along with a number of others where they were used in experiments with the goal to further increase the powers of Death Knights. These experiments were a failure. She remained in Northrend during the Argent Crusade's campaign against the Scourge and was finally freed from the Lich King upon his death.

Things you may know about this character: She now serves in the 157th Wild Tempest company of the Alliance

Things you may not know about this character: After the death of the Lich King she continued to serve the Scourge for a time via a sect of the Cult of the Damned located in the Plaguelands (Those of you who came into direct contact with Lel during this period are the exception)

(If I've made any mistakes with the timeline please do point them out so I can correct them)

Edit: Made a slight tweak as her service to the Scourge is now completely past tense.
Edit 2: Made a few more tweaks here and there to make her back-story more accurate and to account for current activities
