Second Gilnean Banquet: Lunar Festival

"Seems like our Gilnean allies know how to throw a party."

The event went rather well! We had at least 40 people (probably closer to 50+) attending throughout the night. We ran out of food at least twice, and we had a banging firework display (hurr hurr). Big thanks to Zhaun and the Blackblood Corporation for supplying and organizing food and fireworks, and to Arkil and Nature's Grasp for their support! I really hope everyone enjoyed it.

There'll be another one organized soon enough, making some improvements mainly in finding a bigger venue that isn't as crowded with NPCs, and some party games. If you have any ideas for improvement, let me know and I'll work on it for next time.

*A fine poster hangs on walls around Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, and smaller Alliance settlements. The border is dyed a deep Gilnean blue, and the handwriting is neat, easily legible. Citizens of the Alliance ~ of the great nations of Stormwind, Darnassus, Ironforge, Gnomeregan and the Exodar ~ Gilneas requests your attention once again!

The nation of Gilneas plans to hold a second banquet, on the Tuesday of the third of February, this time in honour of the Kaldorei. The Elves of Kalimdor have done much for us: they saved us from the Forsaken, they gave us refuge, they gave us control over our curse. And they did this all when they didn't owe us anything. The Kaldorei saved our people out of compassion and forgave us for so many years of hiding away and letting the world suffer.

Our second banquet shall be held during, and in celebration of, the Kaldorei's Lunar Festival. Their druids are expected to tell the story of the Burning Legion and of the heroes who fought many years before our time, and a display of fireworks will be given in honour of Elune.

All friends of the nations of Gilneas and Darnassus, and of the Alliance, are welcome to join us in showing our gratitude to our great allies, and in celebrating their history with them. The banquet will be an opportunity to have the pleasure of meeting many Kaldorei, and other members of the grand Alliance.

Gilneas will of course provide fine feasts and entertainment for all who attend to enjoy.

I again state that all are welcome with open arms. Gilneas hopes to see you there.

The Second Gilnean Banquet
After the great success of the first banquet event, I said I'd make a second one, so here it is. I've taken into account the feedback I got after the first one, so we'll be having some activities to get more interaction going. We'll also have more of a Kaldorei theme this time, holding the event in Kalimdor during the Lunar Festival, to celebrate our allies and their history, and hopefully having them make some speeches.

The banquet will be held on the 3rd of February, in the Howling Oak in Darnassus.

Everyone is welcome to attend, once again. Any character is invited to enjoy the feast and the entertainment, and it's a great opportunity to meet new people and to get involved with the RP community. We'll also be specifically inviting major organisations to at least send representatives to meet Gilneas and the Kaldorei.
