Biggest "Oh shit" moment for you in RP

Nothing much on Kashou as she has somehow managed to elude people wanting to kill her at all...Except a certain previous owner of a songbook that should have picked a better bush to hide in.

Though I have to say that the time I recall latest actually muttering "Oh crap" to myself was when Belse fell into a patch of quicksand during an expedition with the Freelancers and he rolled a 1 on how good he was at keeping himself from not going under.

The biggest on any character however was some years back during an event where the guild I was in and some random volunteers were going to defend the ruins from Alterac from an invasion force consisting of mostly Dwarves from the DRS. I thought we had a pretty good chance at winning until all those bloody Dwarves marched up weapons drawn and throwing smokebombs all over the place.
Needless to say we were utterly crushed. However as my character lacked quite the fame compared to the rest of the defenders he simply just tossed his tabard aside and wandered over to the other side without any questions being asked.

Another "Oh Shit" was when Leeria was going to help a dwarf down from the railing on Ebon Hold. Then everyone was told to line up, so she moved away to do so. Said Dwarf then reached out for her hand, which was not there, and slid off the railing to be splattered against the ground.

I remember going; "Oh shit why me..." when I saw him emote and fall of the railing behind me. This was of course after I had been in major trouble for acting up.

Is that why Grimm is undead these days? Or was it another?

Celara the Sun Sword out in Falcon Watch having just delivered a message between the leaders of the Vile Thorn and Belore Alandie. Arli (bless his heart) called in his thugs via the IC comms device which I didn't see happening as I wasn't in the guild.
End result, a circle of blood thirsty Vile Thorn suddenly stepping out the shadows around my poor Celara. Yes Arli I had an IRL moment where I almost logged out to calm down from the fright lol

Second time was in the Imperium when Overseer Celara decided to throw a blade into a Marshal, she was sadly caught trying to flee the area and spent a few days in their "care" while they tried to figure out why she was trying to kill her ex finance Serp. During the torture they pushed rotten meat into her mouth and let a ghoul retrieve it and eat it, almost chucked up IRL. Then they opened her leg from her hip to below her knee when she got loose and attacked the torturer, by the time they realised she was bleeding out she was going into cardiac arrest. She has a permanent limp on her left leg from that.

Honestly if I get any more scares like this I am going to roll a lock and steal all my chars souls for safe keeping in case they die hahahahaha (god gaming at it best)

This "oh shit" isn't that huge, but one of the biggest I've had the last two years.

And, not about anything close to death of a character.
But the moment your character is saved after being captured. And no one in the rescue party makes ANY emotes about looking for the gear the orc was wearing when captured. And is found mostly withou any of it.

Escorting a prisoner from Darkshire Inn to Ravenhill to collect his belongings. Suddenly getting ambushed by six Cultists and knocked out. Wakes up deep within some cave, in a pit, naked, whilst eight or nine Cultists channelled some dark ritual, intending to use Aldric as a sacrifice.

Or when we of Eyes of the Dark Realm infiltrated Darnassus in order to steal a branch of Teldrassil to create a Staff for the dark master. So many curious Kal'dorei asking us questions and watching us. Whenever I saw someone from Natures Grasp approach I'd think to myself "Oh shit.. They know.. They know.."

Infiltrating Northshire Abbey disguised as a Canon of the Chapter of Holy Anethion on my Cultist character with roughly ten Chapter roleplayers online and nearby. Questioned by the Officers IC as they didn't recognise me. So much panic.. Even more so given I was there to attempt to free three of their prisoners from captivity.

Finally, a massive ritual of eleven Cultists forming a double pentagram over Stormwind Lake using those focussing gems to create flashy beams. Luckily I was stood farthest away from the Cathedral but damn the tension was high. People screaming and running in fear and guards gathering to assault us. A mob formed and we dispersed, it was one giant cat and mouse chase throughout Stormwind to which I got separated from the others. Oh shit doesn't begin to describe what was going through my head haha. I think I ran, blinked, crawled and squirmed my way from Stormwind to Stranglethorn that night!

Got a new one today. Essentially being informed that I was being kidnapped by The Black Hand (whom Feral is already terrified of due to past events) for torture. The whole kidnapping was quite terrifying, but then this happened...



That was my "oh sh--" moment 1. Going to make it my signature

Then there was torture! When rescue arrived, a blade was placed to tied-up Feral's throat, with him as a hostage; shots were fired at my captors, and I was informed that at this point my char would likely die, which I couldn't really argue with. That was moment 2. Happily it was avoided, but for awhile my heart was beating quick.

The many times the Dark Sphere has given me "Oh shit.. " moments. I can't count them. DoL were doing a patrol and all of a sudden we're surrounded by TDS.. No where to run, nu use screaming 'cause we were already gagged before I could blink.

Many of these times were gear RP and most of them made me curse, almost logg and facepalm over my own stupidity to do that patrol almost knowing they'd be there, eeeeveeeryyyytime!

Back when I played on Sprackle, I was given a task by Fenuviel to prove my dedication and worth to the Sphere. The task was quite simple, to travel to Ironforge, enter a specific house and kill it's inhabitants. Sprackle joyfully agreed to the task, quite partial to a bit of bloodspilling. I made my way pretty quickly over to Ironforge, scoping the outside of the house for a bit to make sure there was no shenanigans.

Upon picking the lock, I sneaked in, the house eerily empty except for a single Gnome sitting in a large chair facing away from me, obscuring my view of even his nameplate. I eventually got near enough, ready to kill, and it turns out it was Nahmesto, Sprackle's best friend. After a few tense moments I eventually decided to not follow through with it, Nahmesto was just too damn innocent. I still curse Fenuviel to this day for her wickedness, but it was damn well prepared and set up, seeing as Fenu and Nahm are sisters (if i remember correctly)

Something I wasn't expecting, back when I was in SGE: Tziak bit Dijie in the face, took a chunk, and ate it.

Hah mine was yesterday, i was let out of jail and Ilyanain asked larnira to call him handsome but she refused and later he would ask Lessi which would say out a great explanation-

Back on TVC we ran a kidnap plot for a week, Robi kidnapped Arli over a mistaken belief Thorns had her husband.

It was unplanned rp, just happened and each day we posted a write up on the TVC rp forum, one from Arli's perspective and one from Robi's. Thorns got Robi and on the following Sunday there was to be a hostage exchange, the pic below was just as the Alliance were gathering to walk to Brill and swap Arli (under the arrow) for Robi. Of course it didn't end well, huge wpvp battle in Brill then across Tirisfal but each side ended up rescuing their own. We had no idea how it would end, love that kind of rp!



What was really nice was that despite Arli being as popular there as he is here as a target, not one of the rp/pvpers ganked him during this

I have to say the same, biggest "Oh Shit" was when Robi was sitting under guard in Brill, a couple of Thorns around all not flagged. Then Anethrax arrives and as I sat and looked, Thorns just appeared from nowhere (as they do) and one by one they all flagged ready. I thought oh bugger, theyre going to kill me...
But as with Arli above, I was touched once and that was a token slash from Anethrax as a way of flagging. A nice touch.

Biggest "oh shit"-moment?

Went semi-afk in Darkshire while leveling Dwy, my first RP char. When I return to the screen AoTD is raiding the town with 8+ heavy plate armoured death knights. Dwy is in the middle. I really doubted Dwy'd make it through that. Then after running some errands for them, it seemed like he would die in prison. A sentence he's been lying about IC ever since.

Oh, and that time the Cartel robbed the Dieudonne estates. Dwy and Hugues were the first to the scene, and shortly after we realise that Genevieve logged out in there, and that our characters should take that very seriously. We sorta ruined the day for our entire guild.
