(A/RP) The Frozen Covenant.

The largest misconception the living have of the Scourge is our penchant for what is considered 'evil.'
For the sake of demoralization we allow this error to perpetuate, and indeed spread it on our own.
The true nature of The Scourge is our transcendence of the shackles that keep any of the living races from becoming as prosperous as we.


For example: What benefits do emotion and honor really hold? They serve to validate the living, to make them feel 'good.' Now, what flaws do they hold?
Emotion is directly correlated to the ignorance of logic and reason. Honor is, at most times, the sole perpetrator of able resources fighting a losing battle.
It is baffling even to me that the living can be so unaware of how eager we are to play the part of their villain, to nurture their greatest flaws by becoming the embodiment of all that incites irrational behavior.


Moral ambiguity cannot be 'cleansed.' Antipathy cannot be 'healed' or 'assuaged.' Greed cannot be 'dispelled' and wrath cannot be 'cured.'
We choose to be the embodiment of all these things, and yet there are some still foolish enough to believe that the Scourge can be defeated and removed completely.
So long as the most attractive sins of the living remain our banner flag, there will always be those eager to flock to our will.

In other news, the guild is doing well but a potential possible change and revamp could be underway. More information about that shall be posted soon.

Bump with a new guild name, and a updated OOC section in the recruitment thread!

To enhance our guild and role-play, we have decided to slightly revamp the concept into more of a Cult than a army due to several reasons:

- One, that the current time simply does not support a military guild for the Scourge, considering the defeats and setbacks we have faced. And clearly, the Cult of the Damned is, at the moment, the prominent power of the Scourge.

- Two, that being a army that just would be hostile to mostly everyone and the interactions they would have would only be through battles, severely limits our role-play and keeps us secluded.

- Three, that through the Cult, we can promote our "way of life" and the ideals and twisted religion following it more widely than a mere military force. And that has always been the heart of our role-play: the way of life the Cult and Scourge-affliated individuals follow, along with all its ideals and the grim aspects it follows.

In that respect, other than being a military order with a Cult sector, it is for the best interest of the guild to be primarily a Cult with a military sector. In this we hope that we would prosper further on and get the chance to interact more with the RP community!

I can't help but feel that this guild is constantly over-looked in terms of cultist role-play. When y'know, all the guilds made in the past year or so have come and go, while the Damned have stood firm and strong, creating role-play.

Shame this isn't recognized that well.

Oh, they are recognized by every single player who have ran into them. I roleplayed a short time with them, had a blast.

Its a great bunch, but a bit far away from civilization.... or so we think

Apologies for the late response. There is no issue with simply using the island when we're not there, but if you are intending to actually use - Caer Darrow - ICly, then you might have to deal with the things we did there and seeing that now, a decision has been made to deem TFC inactive, you can move in if you'd like as we will no longer be there ICly and will be laying low. (we could even RP it out, if you still would like to RP on the isle)

And now for my public announcement regarding this guild and its status, as implied by above, sadly after two long years we will be going inactive due to factors we cannot control at this current point of time.
A special thanks to all members of the officer staff, whom have come and gone; Vangrel, Alieus, Jemerick, Athrun, Lelara, Zhuyan and Barunita - without your efforts, none of this would have come to pass. I'd also like to extend my thanks to all members of TFC/AotD for their loyalty, devotion and contribution - I couldn't have asked for a better membership and it is because of each of you which made the guild possible to strive. Couldn't have asked for a better community of friends to have shared the last 2 years with; the Lich King's shadow lingers upon you all, comrades.

Additionally, I'd like to thank everyone whom role-played with us, especially the Northern Community which added a much needed atmosphere up there - guilds such as The Lordaeron Alliance, Northern Vigil, The Scarlet Crusade, The Greyford Company, Ebon Blade guilds, Cult of Shadow, Sin Belore, Argent Crusade, and the list could go on. In addition to any other person/group which ran into us, even if it were during the few times we were present down south or anywhere else (been a very long time, so unable to remember every name/group to mention).

And thanks to the realm in general as well. DB was great to be on.

We don't know what the future brings and we may one day return, but our cultist remnants will be around for sure.

Good memories last forever! Shame that the only decent dark-themed guild on the Alliance is declaring hiatus, but alas, I've found that concepts with a lot of thought behind them and required effort only attract a selected few.

In the cavern like dark halls of the Necropolis, a chanting could be heard.

"Lord and master" - "Lord and master" - The acolytes repeated this over and over, their voices growing louder and more vibrant. Suddenly, they stopped, they could hear the foot steps of their teacher, striding quickly through in their direction, zealous joy filled their hearts as they sought to be at the disposal of the instructor.

The leaning figure stood above them all, peering at his students through the visage of his mask - "Hasss the ritual been completed?"

Falling before him and onto their knees, the acolytes responded only once.

"Yes master" - This is the only reply the Deathspeaker needed.

"Summon them all, bring them all here, let us begin the union of the damned once more - The world will tremble before the might of the Scourge. An apocalypse will be unleashed that will reduce the world to burning ashes it was done once more and all will be covered in darkness!"

The students looked upon the Deathspeaker with fanatical glee and in a matter of minutes had dispersed to commit to their allocated duties throughout the Necropolis. The tall figure stood in the chamber for a long time, looking around him and examining the newly acquired books on the darkest arts of necromancy and shadow magic, his mind almost trembled with joy to be able to once more stand in the hallways of the damned.

"I am the Harbringer of the Dead" he spoke while looking at a nearby reflection, in the reflection he could see himself, Vangrel Lansire, servant of Ner'Zhul.

What's this all about?

Howdy. The Frozen Covenant has been declared on hiatus due to a lack of activity, but to celebrate our anniversary Althalos has proposed for us to all meet next Wednesday in Zeramas at a certain time. This will mean that while we're back fully, we will be not only testing our strenght but also putting down a few plots for the Horde & Alliance to get involved in.

Namely Vangrel being a follower of the Scourge and will not seek to unite the purpose of a small remnant of the Cult of the Damned (this guild) with the principles of the followers of Sylvanas, creating an army of the Undead.

There will also be a small book released titled 'Doctrine of the Damned' to help process and promote the ideological aspect of this.

If you are interested in Scourge themed role-play, poke Althalos, Alius, Zhuyan, Lelara or myself, Vangrel to get involved.

We hope to see one or two new faces there, and if not, you will hear from us.
